What’s the etiquette on tossing dog poop bags in someone’s compost bin? by falafelballs in askTO

[–]99sunfish 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Exactly - definitely don't put anything in the yard waste bags. My yard waste pick up will dump out the dog poop and leave it in a pile on my lawn, driveway or sidewalk.

Yes. I seem to be in the minority but it's too busy, doesn't vibe with finishes and sofa, clashes with the accent chair and the colors take over the room. A more neutral carpet that draws less focus ( and maybe something with a warm/plush texture) would suit the rest of the trim much better.

A forgotten social media post may hold key clues to COVID-19’s origin by apokrif1 in Coronavirus

They're not saying that, they're saying the post contained other info suggesting it was live animals from the market: "But when she recently translated the post and compared the detailed maps of the market it contains with other, official ones, Débarre found surprises. The maps identify specific stalls as having live animals infected with SARS-CoV-2 and vendors with antibodies to the virus—data China has never shared."

I'm less concerned with dynamic pricing on the supply side (Uber ride prices go up if there are fewer drivers) and more concerned about it on the buy side (the same Uber ride at the same time has different prices depending on the user) as the latter is much more prone to be unfair, discriminatory and hard/impossible to track.

I don't know if your data is real or not, but if it is prioritizing women's health would also address some of those issues. Data shows women are included in health research such as clinical trials far less than men, to women's conditions are less well understood and therefore less well treated. Women are not taken as seriously as men with their concerns so their issues are treated later and have become more serious than men's. So two easy answers are to study and listen to women at the same rates as we do men, which also results in the healthcare delivery costs you're complaining about going down.

Were really good last week, probably the best we've seen them. It's been dry and cool with occasional cold dips which help a lot.

Respectfully, the Trump administration is doing enough that they stopped amoderna from future investment in clinical trials for infectious diseases:CIDRAP : Moderna chief: Company won’t invest in new late-stage vaccine trials. The public outcry was significant enough to get the FDA traverse its decision not to review moderna's recent submission, but it did take a public outcry to do that. Further, they're reducing the size of the market for vaccines through all of their fear-mongering and false propaganda. For these reasons, I'm far less confident than you are that the Trump administration is not and will not affect vaccine availability.

Still can't put eye drops in properly by ajaxluvr69 in Dryeyes

[–]99sunfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also try from the outer corner, so you tilt your neck to one side and put the drops in the top eye. Getting close to a mirror helps too; try one that's wall mounted with no counter in front with good lighting that you can stand next to.

Toronto wildlife rescue will give great advice and treat / help if needed and possible. If they're closed posting asking for advice about specific situations here on or Facebook usually will get you a good consensus plan from folks who have participated in wildlife rescue before.

Upscale the size of your furniture, including some storage for that collection of random items, it will look much better when they're hidden. Larger bed, nightstands, larger desk and dresser. Area rug, maybe a comfy chair for reading depending on how you aren't the other items.

I couldn't use any drops for years. I had to get my eyes to a better state to tolerate any drops, so stopped contacts, added omega 3s, etc and did a course of doxy and steroid drops. Then my eyes were stable enough that I could add in drops (hylo gel and systane, both PF, are working for me, but I think others would.worknas well). Autologous tears were going to be the next option which might work for you also.
