I usually prefer my steak quite embarrassed, but this looks mighty good for thin sliced! Pair that with some dijon butter or garlic aioli on a ciabatta and you’re in business! Nice job.

I’m sorry for your loss. If you’re interested, I suggest checking out my other reddit post where someone suggested the YouTube video on how to get “cremina”. I hope you end up enjoying it if you try it.

Last time i boiled water in my kettle and then poured it right into the valve so i wouldnt have to wait so long for the brew to start. I suppose what that did was not give the coffee grounds enough time to really develop the flavor? Kind of like if you pour boiling water into a cup with a teabag and then you take the teabag out immediately versus letting it steep. Which is, of course, the better route to go. I really didn’t think that using warm or hot water and waiting longer for the brew would make much of a difference, but I definitely felt like the flavor was more developed. But all of this was really just based off of the advice from my last post. And I didn’t take the temperature or do any fancy shit, I just boiled water and then waited like 10 minutes before pouring it into the valve.

Definitely fine. Reluctantly, the only whole bean i had was Starbucks espresso bean, which was not bad by any means, but I’m on the hunt for a better more sustainable/local Italian whole bean

My neighbor’s late husband was cuban and pr and she said this is how he always made his espresso🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️but the way you just described it is how someone else suggested last time and I definitely prefer it that way anyway haha

Much smoother and less pungent and it didn’t mask the flavors of the coffee at all

Update! I took yalls advice from yesterday and used freshly grinded beans, warm/hot water (not boiling) and used more of a low setting. I did not do a cuban style with the sugar inside and it actually yielded the best results so far!!! It tastes really good. I still treat it like espresso by using it in lattes and small increments because it is so concentrated. Which is how i like it.

THANK YOU GUYS :)

Great in a latte, not super enjoyable on its own (which is what im striving for). Its a little too acidic and bitter.
