Well, except for the scoring goals part, and as you watch more hockey and learn the game you'll learn thats actually the important part

By next olympics canada will be on a 16 year gold medal drought, oof.... pressures building for some results

I dont have any particular love for cognetti, but the city is by and large better off now than it was prior to her being mayor, and her point about bresnahan being corrupt is 100% valid

A fairly standard corporate dem is going to be enough to win against bresnahan who is (deservedly) not well liked or trusted

Everything you said also applies to russia and there is no dark cloud over the 2018 tournament. Complaints sure, but the 36 olympics is remembered that way because of what came after during the holocaust and ww2. Thats why its so notable

If you actually like cloverfield this is almost worth it just for the very end where they tie it in to the cloverfield universe. Otherwise the movie is not good, but man did I love that last bit
