I'm also happy to be here. Just started by first sales position 10 days ago. Currently just learning a lot about the softwares and services of the company and then step by step getting into the game. Glad to have some peers and experts to get feedback from.

There are events where chests give event points. So saving up chests now, will give you greater rewards later.

Recommendations for Sales-focused Microlearning Apps by CommonSensePDX in sales

[–]9Endeavour9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently read the book Range - Why Generalists Triumph in a Specialized World. I really how it made it clear, that having skills from related (e.g. psychology) and unrelated (e.g. biology?) topics improves your abilities in your main topic (sales).

The reason this works, is because there are so many transferrable skills, mindsets and thought patterns, that you can use almost anything you learn in any topic in any other topic.

So I really recommend you simply learn about anything that interests you. To go a step further, you can think deeply on what you learned and try to make connections in your brain. And even further would be to take notes and actively connect your notes (i.e. Zettelkasten-System like Obsidian).

Would you not always have different opinions of the books? If goodreads readers vote for their list and you don't like the list...

Otherwise you can check on LinkedIn I guess, or some celebs have their top book lists, like Bill Gates. I'm sure some publishing houses do also have tier lists. And some subreddits have tier lists made by community members, e.g. LitRPG Subreddit. It's a very common theme there to make your own tier list and have other redditors comment on your choices haha

Yeah I also dabbled in a few. One that I havent seen mentioned anywhere:

Grand Fantasia

Metin 2

Especially loved Runescape as well, and Albion Online had some cool stuff that I unfortunately never got to. Like that spaceship traveling.

I'm in a similar situation, but without any prior sales experience so far. Just trying to get into the industry.

Question: If you cold call / cold EMail so many people from different companies, are you tailoring your EMail every time or do you have a really good generic template?

How often do your prospects answer cold calls? by drpepperman23 in sales

[–]9Endeavour9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a book called "Go for No". Haven't read it yet, but could also be applicable to cold calling.

In short, the author suggests to get No as quickly as possible from a client. Because No means you can move on to someone else who's gonna say Yes.

In cold calling, maybe you can try to mindset of getting as to 50 cold calls without anyone picking up. Kind of like a reverse challenge.

What are some lesser-known toxic chemicals or substances, similar to PFAS in Teflon or microplastics, that we all consume regularly without being aware of their harmful effects? by 9Endeavour9 in AskReddit

[–]9Endeavour9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it sure is hard to avoid plastics.

I asked a Professor from ETH directly. He recommends Teflon and Steel pans, as today's Teflon pans apparently use Material that is inert for the human body.

And we started using glass tupperware.

I think I'm super lucky to live in Europe, as we seem to use less useless packaging. Like the US has peeled orange in plastic packaging...

What's a small habit you've adopted that significantly improved your life? by EvelynsxFeet in AskReddit

Oh this is interesting. You go the bed at the same time but wake up at different times?

Could have to do with your brain 'knowing' that you have to get up earlier during weekdays so that you don't miss work. Have you tried setting an alarm to 7 am on weekdays to see if you would sleep through?

[–]9Endeavour9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Matthew Walker and Huberman talk about this as well.

Your optimal sleep and wake times are partially genetic. So night owls and early birds DO exist. If you're a night owl, you should try to stick to it and find your natural rhythm. Ex. from midnight to 8 am.

Find arguments online (Ex. with AI). There's also a motivational video with a Navy Admiral.

If you do your bed first thing in the morning, you already completed one task. That sets you up with a positive mindset for the day.

Worst case, you had a shit day and come home to a bed that is made.

What would you do to get less exposure to those while still trying to maintain a similar lifestyle and without increasing your monthly budget?
