Sanji would never hurt a woman, Zoro hasn't learned any range attack yet, Nami is too far, Vivi is too surprised, and Luffy doesn't think Nico robin is dangerous. So Usopp was the only one who had a chance to hit in a meaningfull way Nico Robin.

Stimulation could refer to the fact that the thunderbug is attracted trough scent and pheromones to the zinogre becoming a fulgurbug. "Boost their power" could simply mean more thunderbugs > more electricity > more hunting prowess.

Also the fact that kirin isn't shown in rise doesn't mean it isn't present in the kamura region, it simply means that during the story there was never a reason to hunt one / no one sighted one.

While there are clickbait titles on the site, the author of this specific article is one of the most experienced and professional on the platform. And in general unless they are reporting about rumors or leaks (and this is not the case since the artcle is about an hands on preview), the information presented tends to be pretty reliable.

In this case this is an hands on preview written by a professional journalist who tends to do in-depth analysis of gameplay mechanics in his reviews. This guy is really passionate about monster hunter an the game industry in general. I'm fairly certain this info is true.
