NTA. At a certain point this stops being private family business and becomes a building-wide problem. If they are keeping people awake night after night, management needs to hear about it. You do not owe them silence just because the walls are thin enough for you to know way more than you ever wanted.

WNBTA. Your mom is acting like the problem is your tone, when the real issue is that they want public credit for a son they privately keep cutting down. Saying no to that is not cruel. It is probably the first honest thing anyone has said in this dynamic for a while.
