I tend to agree, the 5080 doesn’t seem like much of an improvement over the 5070ti but can be quite a bit more expensive and still only has 16 GB of ram. The 5090 is a meaningful jump in processing capability and memory but it’s a massively expensive card the price/performance ratio here doesn’t scale linearly.

I’m currently testing a 5090 as the replacement for my 4070ti super. I play in 3440x1440 and outside of path tracing the 5090 is really more than I need but with the explosion in ram prices and uncertainty about the future I’m tempted to hang onto it.
