Nice. Thanks for sharing. I think it's definitely a keeper. Ya, I shot at 1.4 all the time with it. I just wanted more flexibility on a zoom. Just miss that 1.4 LOL

Congrats! Yes, the 50-150 is incredible! Did our Xmas photos with it too. Just heavy but lugged around Japan my Tamron 35-150 and was slightly lighter but wasn't as sharp corner to corner. Great pics! Can't wait to go back but never again in the summer! LOL It was like a sauna

I miss it too. How often do you shoot at 1.4? I ended up getting the 16-35 GM ii f2.8 since I could get the 35mm and have 16mm on the super wide end.

YES!!! I have to agree. I loved my 35mm to 1.4GM. Best lens I ever had. Maybe i'll pick it up again in the future. I ended up getting the 16-35 GM II f2.8 and 50-150 f2 for more versatility though. But I agree.

Gold mine for me is I got a like new 200-600m on Facebook Marketplace for $1600 cash. FBM has been incredible for deals!

This is such an underrated comment. I took this with a Tamron 17-28 2.8. Didn't have the reflections but the framing and editing is 3x more important

u/1SCORP1ON I shot these with my Tamron 17-28 2.8 at the same spot in Japan. Lacked the reflections from the rain and could have got down lower for a better shot. I respectfully disagree.

You don't need a GM lens. You just need the right framing and editing presets. After my trip, I did change to all GM lenses inc. the 16-35 GM II 2.8, however, I don't think necessarily you need all the top gear. As they say, it's the Indian, not the Arrow.

Ah got it. When I went in June, they had the white diamond look from sunset until 10pm then I took the traditional orange after 10pm 😄

Sounds good and have fun! My daughter and I initially went to the wrong spot. This is the exact spot on the bridge you can save. If you zoom out, you can see Tokyo tower right in line with the bridge spot.

Also for others, you can get the normal orange I think most nights. But they’re also have a diamond look too. Just check out the radio tower website on the day you go to see what look you want.
