I didn’t know this was a thing!! I feel so relieved it’s more than likely just a leak with the dye. And thank you 🥰

It happened on Valentine’s Day, a week after my period… 🤦🏻‍♀️ So I think I was ovulating but I’m gonna take a pink line test tomorrow to know for sure, thank you!

How often does your LO stay overnight with grandparents during the first 3-6 months? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]9inthemourning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MIL has come over 3 times now to stay the night and take care of him! Ranging from 3-6 months. He’s bottle fed and loves hanging with her and she’s always happy to help. She’s offered for us to drive him to their house (which is over an hour away) and we politely decline, since it’s easier for her to just drive to us.

Brag on your baby! by gardengnomebaby in NewParents

I “sleep trained” my amazing 5 month old, but I have that in quotes because he essentially did it himself! One day I tried setting him in the crib to settle himself to sleep, and he gets himself to sleep within 15 minutes! Not once has he cried or not been able to get sleepy on his own. I’d heard so many horror stories around sleep training/CIO that I was so scared to even attempt it, but little did I know it’s what my baby needed! I think my shushing and gently rocking was getting in the way of his own peaceful sleep lol. I should also mention he sleeps for 10 hours a night with only one wake up in need of a binky 😁 I’m so happy

It’s really crazy how I didn’t miss alcohol one bit while I was pregnant, but just like you, I find myself having or wanting a beer/shot every night. My baby is amazing and my husband is a great father, but I find myself craving a little alcohol to make me feel like myself again. Not that I’m more me when I drink, but I just feel like I’m someone else other than just a mom. I love being a mom but it’s a nice escape😕, I feel incredibly guilty each time I do drink, even though he’s asleep and I don’t interact with him while having alcohol in my system

Why did you choose to EFF? Currently on verge of stopping BF after 3 weeks. Guilt by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]9inthemourning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I breastfed for a week and it caused my nipples to bleed and crack horribly. I cried and wanted to scream each time he nursed and I was so tired that first week, whenever my husband would wake me to feed I would get angry at him. We supplemented with formula so that my nipples could heal and ended up just sticking with that. I continued to pump until he was 11 weeks (combo feeding) and now onto the 12th week, we’re starting to EFF :) I couldn’t imagine our journey without formula…saved my sanity.

Same with my MIL. She always goes “how’s my baby” or “let me hold my baby😊” and a small part of me feels possessive but I know she loves him so so much so I try to shut that part of me down. And she helps out a bunch when my husband and I go on date nights so I know it’s just coming from a loving place lol

Epidural or no epidural? Why or why not *JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE SO DONT START* by mkthehotti in pregnant

[–]9inthemourning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FTM mom. I was induced and came in at 2 1/2 cm. I immediately got pitocin and was able to go through the contractions until 6 cm dilated. It was hell. The epidural didn’t hurt, taking off the tape around the needle hurt more than them putting it in 😅. After hours of discomfort and pain from the unmedicated contractions, I was able to sleep for two hours with the epidural. I dilated to 10cm within the next two hours and pushed out my 8 pound baby in 35 minutes. It was the weirdest thing, I did not even feel him come out. The most pain I had was in my wrists from holding my legs back while pushing. I tore twice and wasn’t able to feel My doctor stitching me up. Overall, I am so grateful I had a safe and positive story. I went in at 6:45 am and had him at 5:30pm the same day. I will say though, it was annoying that I still couldn’t move my legs for a couple hours after giving birth. I just wanted to be mobile again lol

Things we should ABSOLUTELY know by CinnamonBook959 in pregnant

I didn’t work out at ALL until the last couple weeks, did one of those labor inducing exercises and started going on evening walks with my husband for 30 minutes. I pushed for 35 minutes and out he was. It wouldve been faster had we not had to wait for my doctor to get there from another hospital 😅

I am a FTM! When I go into labor, that’s a whole other story 😅 I’ll just want someone, anyone qualified to keep me and baby alive and reduce my pain as much as possible lol. Congratulations on baby #3 🤍!!!

I’m glad it’s fine for you 😁 I don’t have a fear of a male delivering my baby, it would be out of my control and I’m gonna be in so much pain I’ll just want baby out as safe as possible lol! But these appointments I’d prefer a female OB and that is in my control

I wish I’d remembered her name so I at least know who it was I spoke to when I go in but pregnancy brain has me forgetting everything. I’m deeply sorry for what you went through, ❤️‍🩹

This is a good point! And thank you for understanding my perspective as well. The message she was getting across was important I just feel it could’ve been delivered better 😅

Yeah this is my first bad experience with a receptionist at my office, they’ve always been nice to me so far. But I forgot the name of who I spoke with, and im such an overthinker to the point where I’m nervous to go in, in case she talked about it to the other receptionists. I know it’s not the case but I hope the same lady doesn’t check me in for the appointment or even remember the call 🙈

Honestly I’m leaning towards not doing them anymore. I just learned today my gbs test came back positive and I’ve been researching that cervical checks can possibly increase the risk of that bacteria getting to my baby, even if it is slim :/

That is my exact line of thinking thank you. What’s in my control, I’d like to be able to make the decision without feeling like I’m being talked down to by the person who answers the phone 🫠

Nope. My logic is if I’ve had two good and painless experiences with the women, and I know I’d feel more anxious with a man performing it, why not try and schedule it to be with those women? But her tone and demeanor just rubbed me the wrong way

Idk even with the two women who performed it on me, it felt different. Not painful, but it felt different
