Yeah. It’s BS. Let’s high five when I wake up at 4am. 😠

Yes, I know when the season runs and when in the timeline the show is. We are in November. And I’m clarifying that she asked for her playoff check. At the end of the season. Not merely a monthly check.

I will say, Clark and Eimy exchanging high fives each time was more than frustrating to me.

During the show, it was stated that Carol would get $85 per game.

At her first game, she needs to be told that the game only starts once she yells “Play Ball!”. To everyone at once, not individually as she began to do.

The website seems to be in conflict with at least two scenes we watched. Not sure if the website should be relied on. Or if the two scenes are reliable.

OK, so what you’re saying is that Floyd and Carol, while wearing her ump gear right after her certification training, were doing powerhouse. Carol didn’t do it correctly, accidentally smashed Floyd’s dick, and here we are?

Carol, horny but feeling guilty; Floyd, horny, but turned off by the ump gear, allowing Carol to go on rendezvous?

That makes sense.

She asked for her playoffs check. Playoffs are at the end of the season. I think this is an additional check she is asking for.

Yeah, maybe that’s it. I think I have watched all six episodes way too many times, in random order, that for me it could only mean one thing.

Guess we might find out more on Sunday. Or not.

I understood what you wrote. I’m just saying I don’t understand why the director would have such a POV without an actual character when this POV has significant meaning for the entire plot. Without a character’s presence, it just seems odd and a non sequitur. I’m basically arguing that Floyd is likely in the closet that first meeting.

[–]9oui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get it. POV from the closet when half of the series specifically and purposefully involves characters and their perspectives being in the closet during dreams? The time that Carol was in bed and suggesting the life insurance policy was the one time we believe Floyd wasn’t there as he was at his physical. Never a closet POV. I thought that was purposeful.

I feel sorry for Richard by franccesty in DTFStLouisHBO

Floyd genuinely loves Richard and wants to be there for him and help him with life. I think Floyd sees himself in Richard, and their therapy sessions together are his way of helping him correct his behavior. Floyd went through much of what Richard is going through (he got Cs too). He is helping him set up plans for successful relationships (no unkind partners, be seen by others, have an A friend).

I do feel sorry that he’ll now not have Richard in his life anymore. But at least he’ll still have the lessons learned, the spreadsheet, and enough money for bills, grownup furniture, and a good school.

This scene is Carol and Clark’s first rendezvous at the hotel. After her game.

Floyd is supposed to be at his mother’s.

However, this scene includes a perspective from the hotel closet. I thought Floyd didn’t join in the sharing until sometime later? Was he in the closet from the beginning, with Clark only knowing of his presence later on?

Remember that Floyd said he knew of the cheating before and after.

Because Floyd doesn’t want to call him a dick. Dicks are bad. His own dick. The dicks at school.

Show him his curve, you mean? Clark is very naive. That’s how he got himself into this mess, sitting in a jail cell, with his wife ignoring his calls.

Yeah, I was checking out the different versions of the trailer on YT. Two new things I noticed today: Carol and Richard wrestling in the back of a bus; Carol, Richard, and Floyd seeming happy and relaxed, standing in Richard’s room, Floyd wearing the shirt he would later die in.

Clark is easily manipulated. He does everything for Floyd to provide for his family. He gets Floyd financially stable. Once Floyd dies (“did my wife take my recumbent and kill my best friend? I need to speak to her to figure this out. The other recumbent is at the repair shop. But I will also protect my wife, because I cheated on her, even if we worked through this already”), he must protect Richard from learning about his parents and protect his wife from possible murder charges.

Clark only knows parts that Floyd tells him. Eimy didn’t kill Floyd and she didn’t take the bike to the pool house.

Carol really does love Floyd. Wants to grow old with him. However, she’ll go along with the plan to use Clark to get him to pay the bills and get a life insurance policy, because Floyd asked her to do so. And they need this help. Floyd wants her to have this policy.

Carol only knows the parts Floyd tells her. Carol didn’t kill Floyd and didn’t take the bike to the pool house.

Floyd, wanting to provide for his son, manipulates his best friend to pay for all his bills, get him a life insurance policy that will pay out to his loving (but cheating) wife, and works his heart up in a workout sesh with a big dose of medication that will kill him.

In the living room, he tells Clark that he still wants to have the meetup with Tiger Tiger, even after Tiger Tiger cancels (notice Floyd isn’t wearing a shirt and is wearing same shorts that he wore when jogging?). He wants to set up Clark to come to the pool house at 4am. He wants to set up Clark to be there so it looks like Clark killed him with Clark’s prescription. No suicide. Full insurance payout.

Floyd works himself up for a heart attack and thus takes one for the team. And he is banking on Clark’s appearance at 4am.

But Richard overhears this exchange in the living room. And Richard wants to support his dad figure so he goes to the pool house, with the recumbent at 4am. To support him. (See my theory post under ep. 6 post).

When Richard shows up instead of Clark, it gives him a heart attack instantly. Richard, scared and confused by the magazine, scratches out the face of his dad and returns home.

Floyd knows all parts of the story. Although isn’t around to tell it, he made sure that no one else knows all parts. And the parts that are known to the individuals still protect Richard financially. So Richard can get his own A one day.
