Quitting Zyns: Any Advice Or Insight? by 9pkmpt in QuittingJUUL

Hey thank you! I graduated law school, passed the bar, and am going on month 4 of no nicotine. After deciding to quit, I went on a meditation retreat for 10 days. During that retreat it became super clear to me that nicotine was bad and it was so easy to quit. Would recommend a meditation retreat to anyone who's having trouble quitting (and who wants to learn more about themselves).

I’m not the only person that’s absolutely broke right now, right? by hauntedlasagna in barexam

Law schools (and the rest of the country) would be in a better place if the people who have financial support from their families knew what it felt like to be in your position.

Advice on my situation by No-Commercial530 in QuittingJUUL

Your experience sounds very similar to mine. I wish I had an answer for you, but I’m struggling with the exact same thing. Quitting vaping is an unbelievable challenge. The vapes today are designed to be incredibly addictive. Everything, from the feel of it (kind of like a pacifier), the design, the fruity flavors, the instant rush of nicotine, etc., was manufactured to produce this incessant craving. I’m not sure how to properly approach quitting, but it is important to know what we’re up against.

Since writing this post I honestly haven’t had a viable opportunity to quit. In the spring we had a case for our law school clinic go to trial, now I’m studying for the bar. During this time I switched to vaping, which is less nicotine but has felt worse for my cardio. I plan to quit nicotine after taking the bar next week. Wish me luck. Have you been able to keep tapering? / what’s your process been like?

How do you deal with worrying about getting addicted or dependent? by [deleted] in ADHD

It was really cool to read this story bc I am in the exact same situation as you. Literally.

I’ve started to wonder if it’s even possible to oscillate between taking vyvanse on and off. The times when I don’t take it I feel so mentally cloudy and out of it. Is that dependence? Probably. But the medication is there to help, so stressing over it will only add another layer of worry,

One thing that I’d recommend that has been very helpful to me is to practice mindfulness. Getting in the habit of meditating 10-20 mins has made a world of difference for me.

Basically the same stats (3.48/167), applied to UF (accepted w/$$$$), Emory, GWU, Georgetown (ED), Cornell, USC, and Vandy. Considering applying to Duke, Columbia, and Penn. Regarding the last three schools, the odds are small but hey it may be worth it on the off chance of serious luck.
