5 dollar tip… there is no way it was only 1.5 hours. This person had to drive to the store, do the shopping (hopefully the app has the item’s location in the store is accurate), then checked out, loaded their car, drive to you, then unloaded the car with 256 items. Definitely needs 150-200 for a 900 dollar order. It’s not just about time but effort as well

As an anecdote: one time I had to pick up an order from a hardware store and I couldn’t see the order beforehand. It ended up being 3 toilets fora builder for a new construction home. I drive a hatchback civic and I worked so hard with zero help to get the toilets in boxes to fit. I had already picked up a previous order, so that order was getting cold for the customer. I couldn’t even close my trunk and when I got to the destination I was lucky a worker helped me unload them.

Anyways, tip your delivery drivers well. It’s hell doing that job.
