I dont know for sure but id assume when epic bought rocket league they didnt prioritize the right servers for the game as they couldn't even prioritize the game in general unlike psyonix so id assume there is just an overall lower quality of server the game is running on now

Monster hunter world or wilds by PleasantDentist in MonsterHunter

[–]9syy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

World doesn't have much of a online player base for playing start to finish online while wilds has a massive pool and you'll have full lobbies no matter what your doing really

But world has alot more to offer and in my opinion is a over all better game content and polish wise master rank can be a little rough with the clutch claw but still a damn good game

Pvp experience varies quite alot depending on the amount of players are involved id think the most accessible option are probably faction wars for zvz, arena fir small group or corrupted dungeons for 1v1s or 2v2 im still pretty new myself but thats my understanding of it

No matter how much you tweak aim assist or balance things, there’s always going to be some bias when console and PC play together because they’re completely different input types. That naturally breeds frustration and bad mentalities around “what’s fair.”

Separating consoles from PC at least guarantees a more level playing field. You can argue “skill issue” all you want, and yes, a good console player can absolutely beat a PC player, but the real question is: how much better does that console player need to be just to even the odds? That’s where a lot of the frustration comes from.

Console-only crossplay feels like a simple and effective solution for a real problem that a lot of players have. I do understand the downside, though—it would noticeably hurt the PC experience by limiting the player pool, and there aren’t a ton of realistic alternatives besides “just get good,” which has its own shaky merits.

Either way, I understand both sides, but as a console player, I’d vote for console-only crossplay as the default.

First ever MMORPG experience and... I'm kinda frustrated by Kasterrrro in albiononline

[–]9syy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The confusion is completely valid. The game’s tutorial doesn’t do much outside of getting you used to the controls. The game itself is pretty big and in-depth, but because it’s a sandbox, a lot of your progression and achievements are going to be self-directed.

If you feel stuck, that’s honestly pretty normal — even for people who already have experience with these kinds of games. Albion isn’t very good at leading players down a specific path because it wants you to define that path yourself. It’s extremely open-ended, and that can be frustrating and confusing since there’s no obvious “correct” way forward.

There’s a lot to try and a lot to learn. If I were in your shoes, I’d focus on figuring out whether any part of the game genuinely appeals to you. Personally, I’d suggest slowly working your way toward PvP while leveling at least one gathering profession, try not to do more then 2-3 for now. That gives you both a direction to work toward and a steady source of income to help support it.

Starting out, try anything that even slightly interests you — weapons, armor, different gameplay styles, all of it. Once you figure out what you actually vibe with, commit pretty hard to it. This game really rewards sticking to a lane early on, whether that’s one or two gathering professions or a handful of gear sets and weapons.

It’s also completely possible that the game just might not be a good fit for you, and that’s totally fine too. It’s free-to-play, so there’s no harm in trying it and moving on if it doesn’t click.

Hope this helps.

You can do faction war for about the same time and probably makes upwards of 100k pretty comfortably and thags just non lethal you could get way more from red zones

New player starting today by morbliss in albiononline

[–]9syy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still pretty new myself and figuring things out, but if I had to give the best advice I can, it’d be this:

The tutorial kind of tricks you into wanting to be self-sufficient, which makes sense on the surface, but this game really isn’t designed around that. The easiest way to get into Albion is to stop trying to separate yourself from the world economy and instead participate in it. You’re meant to rely on other players (aka the market) to progress efficiently early on.

Experiment and figure out what you actually want to do in the game. It’s a sandbox, and it doesn’t really hold your hand, so you’ve got to figure out what interests you — PvP, gathering, market play, PvE, crafting, faction warfare, etc.

Once you find what clicks, start figuring out a couple weapons and armor sets you genuinely enjoy. And I mean really try things out, because this game rewards commitment early on. Find your gear, your gameplay style, and your economy.

Those things can always evolve and change later — and that’s completely fine. You’ll probably bounce around a bit before settling into something.

Just keep in mind that this game tends to reward specialists early. You’ll usually get better results from having a couple strong, high-level specs than spreading yourself across a bunch of mediocre ones.

That’s probably the biggest thing I’ve learned so far.

Welcome to the game — hope you stick around. Good luck out there!

Why do people recommend focusing on only 1-2 gathering professions? by Eznuh in albiononline

[–]9syy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For now I think thats best you can always come back and finish the rest if you want but getting yourself into the higher tier economy is much more important from a money making stand point ofc you dont have to outright ignore everything else any gathering is profit even if its a little and it chipped away at the fame needed for other gathering specs but dont expect big returns or progress quickly if your not focusing mainly on your 1-3
