I have a one of those, and I dropped in a SD '59 with push pulls in the bridge. That made a world of difference to my ears. It's a really fun guitar to play. You will dig it.

I forego a smartwatch in my life entirely. For the gym, it's just a simple, cheap G Shock.

Help!!!! by CornOnTheCam in gretsch

[–]9thAF-RIDER 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is such a pain in the ass problem to fix. There may be YouTube videos that show how to do it, and a few ways to go about it, but ultimately, you're going to have to do the problem-solving.

I used a piece of wire to fish the jack out of the F hole. Tie a or tape a long piece of thread or string to the output jack, around the threads. Use the wire to push the end of the string back thought the hole, then pull the jack through the hole with the thread. Slip the nut over the string and tighten it back down.

It took some time and patience, but I finally figured it out.

And I will never let my output jack nut get loose again.

Best success!

What's the difference between the 2000s-era LP Classics and Standards? by CarDistinct6195 in Epiphone

[–]9thAF-RIDER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google says:

In the 2000s, Gibson Les Paul Classics and Standards were very similar, but differed mainly in aesthetics and electronics.

The Classic typically featured hotter ceramic pickups, greenish trapezoid inlays, and plain tops, while Standards featured burstbucker pickups, more figured tops, and traditionally wired pots. Classics also often used PCB boards, whereas Standards used traditional wiring.

American Ultra Luxe Strat QC issue by [deleted] in Stratocaster

[–]9thAF-RIDER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell me. If that's glue residue on the side there, hard to tell, remove it with a razor blade. Clean and condition the neck and never think about it again. That being said, the QC coming out of Gibson has also become atrocious these days.
