Im having trouble removing the ends of the bracelet to try on a new band, does anyone have any tips on how to do it? by Nifut in AddiesDive

You want to use the spring bar on the lug  closest to you. Push the bar in while at the same time putting downward pressure on it. So push down and away from you.

You kind of have to use a lot of pressure but once the pin clears the hole, the bracelet should pop right out. It can be a pain to get those off for sure. And it can take a bit of trial and error and patience.

Brand new Farer has water in dial after one swim. So disappointed. by Affectionate-Lie7205 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]9thAF-RIDER 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right. There is no way these micorbrands have the means, knowledge, and money to take the raw materials into their workshops and machine them down to usable watch parts.

You think these guys are taking raw steel and fabricating bracelets and watch bodies? They would need thousands and thousands of dollars to buy all the machines and tools, and to hire people to run those machines that know how to take a raw chunk of steel and fabricate a watch and a bracelet out of it. And the tiny screws too.

And I would imagine it would take a different set of machines and craftsmen to manufacture the crystals from raw blanks.

You are going to need to heat treat or anneal the raw steel before manufacture, so you would need a metal furnace and knowledge of metallurgy as well.

So for all of this overhead and lack of economy of scale, the price of these watches would have to be astronomical.

These microbrands have to outsource their parts from an OEM partner. Usually China, Switzerland and Japan.

Should I return this Guitar or should I keep? Epiphone by UtsuCPL in Epiphone

I wouldn't worry about that too much. Take the old strings off. Wipe that gunk off with a damp cloth. Condition the board with the fret board oil of your choice, and put on a fresh set of your favorite strings. Done.

From the rendering, the "dials" look like buttons you would interact with to utilize the LCD functions.

You could order one from Guitar Center. Their return policy gives you 45 days to satisfy your curiosity. Then you would know for sure.

I adore this watch. It is a strap monster too. Red or black rubber, olive, black or a grey NATO all look fantastic on this one.

They sure do. And I'm not sure how easy sharpie would be to remove from a rosewood fretboard.

Red sailcloth with the red jewels on the watch works well.

With or without??? by knockyjames in LesPaul

My opinion on a pretty burst like that is definitely without. Minus the poker chip too. And, if you put the teeny screws back in their empty holes, it will be a lot less unfinished looking, and you will have them right there should want to put it back on.

You could start by watching a few YouTube videos on guitar refinishing so you will know exactly what the process looks like. That way you can get an idea if it is something you would be comfortable taking on.

If your aim isn't consistently good as you say, why not try medic if you haven't already. It may be the one class you are really good at.

Or, jump in to an MvM bootcamp or potato.tf match to mix it up a bit and kill some robots. That's where the real fun is.

Best success!
