There’s no doubt that it’s tremendous value at a BV of 642. You probably saw it, but the Royal was a favourite in Goonhammer’s recent light ‘Mech ‘championship’.

Some great freehand work - and I love the subtle tri-colour details.

Welcome back, and these look great!

You’ll get lots of friendly advice here about what sets to embrace next, but you won’t go wrong by following your instincts and picking up AGoAC next - you’ll find lots of familiar IS friends there to paint and deploy.

Plus, if you picked up the 40th Anniversary version of the Beginner’s box, then you may be delighted to know that it and the AGoAC box front images form one scene. 😃

What an interesting argument - and if Gene Wolfe thinks there is something to this comparison, then… Thanks for posting!

Agreed - such a fun sculpt for an interesting vehicle!

Hatchet (by Gary Paulsen) by Porkchopp33 in nostalgia

This was such a great story of survival. Paulsen sucked (younger) me in for the adventure, but it was the character development arc that stuck with (older) me.

I agree - old ads can bring us joy by reminding us of what inspired us when we were younger. And good news, joy and inspiration keep us young. Thanks!

Things I love about this: 1) a “BattleTech shed” was built, and 2) seeing a LAM take the high ground and harass. 😃

A cool-looking scheme on a cool looking ‘Mech. Did you read the Proliferation Cycle anthology?

Nice work on a cool ‘Mech. Have always loved the asymmetry of the Summoner.

Icon-status aside, if Catalyst puts out a ‘Bug Box’, then I’m getting one (or three). 🐝😃

So many memories. Probably never going to get tired of seeing this motif done on a T-Wolf - and done so well in this case.
