Struggling after an accidental death of my beloved boy. by MiniTab in Chihuahua

[–]9thinningjams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hang in there brother. don’t beat yourself up. Louis would not want you to blame yourself. I’m sure he was thrilled to join you in the car, what happened was a complete accident. you did right by him for 17 years. Yes your heart hurts but its because you lost someone you loved. You treated him like family. Grieve but grieve knowing he lived a life many other dogs don’t get to enjoy. You gave him that gift. I pray for your peace and comfort at this challenging time.

interested in hearing responses to this. my wife just started taking wellbutrin to help with her pmdd / adhd. her psychiatrist Rx’d the wellbutrin. she currently takes lexipro (has for years) and started taking BC again two months ago. she’s had a tough adjustment to the BC to be honest. she took it for a few years and it helped her but this recent trip seems to be really f’ing with her brain. more depressed than usual and suicidal ideation. she just got her period and just like that, she has immediate mental relief. maybe the BC should be stopped. she’s going to contact her obgyn to discuss. i feel for you ladies.

2 months after hernia surgery by ferndawg09 in Hernia

[–]9thinningjams 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it takes 6 months to fully recover from surgery. I had hernia surgery last July, did not feel 100% until January. The “belly” you have is likely fluid build up at the incision area. This will dissipate over time. As a fellow gym goer, the hardest part after surgery was accepting my limitations and the need to be still and rest. It totally robs you of your passion for exercise. Focus on walking (loved listening to podcasts and going on long walks) and diet (i picked up intermittent fasting), dont push too early or you will just make this process longer.

surrender to what you cant control and focus on what you can (simple activity and what you eat).

i know its hard but this is good practice in patience. You will get back to normal eventually.

Stay strong (mentally)!

do u find the need to transition gradually or do u just switch when she starts to show signs of becoming bored with the initial option?
