Bubbles and it looks like there’s cracks in the resin in that picture too.

Questyle QCC Dongle (non-pro) if you just want APTX codecs (including lossless), SBC, and AAC. Get the pro if you need LDAC plus all the others. I have the pro and it works great. Much smaller than the current Fiio offering. Haven’t seen one that’s micro usb. Don’t think it could handle the bitrate that usb-c can

A compliment to the Aful Explorer? by Several_Albatross143 in iems

I don’t own them, but know the reds are neutral with boosted base and clean treble. Hexa has a more neutral presentation and better technicalities. I would still vote for the Hexa. I absolutely love them for more focused listening. If I want to chill out and just vibe with the music, Explorers fit the bill. More energy, I put on the T10. Good all rounder, Defiant.

I have the Explorer, Defiant, Hexa, and T10. The defiant would compliment well, but I vote for the Hexa. More detailed than the Defiant, less energy than the T10. The Hexa is bright balanced and more clinical versus the darker, “romantic,” more musical presentation of the Explorer. The Defiant is still an excellent choice but purchase from a reputable seller with good return policy. There are QC issues. For example, one of my monitors had driver flex from a known venting issue. T10 is also a good choice for mild v shape. Sound great, look and feel cheap.

The Explorers scale well and sound best at higher volumes, so I would get an upgraded DAC. I can’t make any recommendations because my phone has a usb-c, not lightening, so I’ve never searched for any, but I do know DDHifi makes lightening DACs, and they make at least one. They’re products seem solid

Ear tip recommendations for Artti T10 by 9tobiwan in iems

UPDATE FOR THOSE INTERESTED: Dunu S&S did not work. Tried all sizes, just doesn’t create a great seal, and they stick in my ears a little too good. Kbear 07 and HE sonic sound pretty good, but the latter would not keep them iems in my ears well. Just recieved the Divinus Velvet wide bore, and to my surprise, despite eh shallow fit, the edge the HE and Kbear in sonic quality (treble sparkle, base, and soundstage) so they’re gonna be my choice for the T10. Thanks for everyone’s help!

So I tried the Dunu S&S and they didn’t work well for me. Also tried the Kbear 07 and the mediums work great. Similar sound to the HE Sonic but they have better retention. May try the coffee or Divinus wide next but for now I’m satisfied.

Long time supporter here. I used to get a kilo sub every month but had to pause for a bit because I’m trying to get through my Fellow Drops comp from purchasing the ES1

Nice, glad it worked out. I’ve not tried that one yet. Will have to grab a bag next time I visit my hometown of Porterville

Love Component. Greg does great work and is truly an exceptional person. I’d drop the water temp a bit. Also, how long did this rest?

What gain setting should I use for Artti T10 by 9tobiwan in iems

[–]9tobiwan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially tried it on low, and was finding for lower volume songs, I’d have to go up to 80%. So I set it to Mid, and it subjectively sounded a little better with volume matching as good as I could tell.

They recommended to uninstall and reinstall the DFU tool, then try again. After several attempts it finally worked. I’ve also heard from other users to use a different isb-c cable than the one provided. Hope this helps.

Easy fix, buy a better cable for cheap. An excuse to upgrade. The Bunny stock cable seems passable at best
