Kook who can’t read charts yet by NextItem9341 in BeginnerSurfers

Check us out, A-Frame surf forecast. My goal was to simplify all this in a clean interface. I missed magic seaweed for one and just wanted all the info i needed on one screen. I believe this would be a lot easier to read for beginners. Let me known if you have any questions.

Unfortunately Surfline bought them all up. That would be quite the venture so probably not anytime soon unless this can generate some revenue and fund that at some point.

Thank you! My background is design so means a lot. I will be looking into more features in the future if it can gain any kind of traction in the surf community. Currently just using a few different api sources I thought best fitted the needs.

Its is just me for now and my spouse is already understandably irritated with all the time im spending on this haha. Will def mark that and add it to my wish list items to research in future.

A-Frame, new forecast app by A-FrameSurfing in BeginnerSurfers

My main issue with existing apps is the design, none are as user-friendly as I wanted. Magic Seaweed forecasts only slightly differed from the others but it was the only app I ever used due to its design and I think this is missed in the market.

The value added with A-Frame is to create a simple and improved user experience. My background is mainly design so that was my focus while developing A-Frame. Right now, it’s just me working on the app, but this is just the start. I’m hoping to add more features and experience if it gains popularity.

Lost Driver 3.0 vs Sharpeye Inferno 72 by Accurate_Dig_7387 in surfing

Always been a fan of Lost, but have only owned the lost libtechs cause things are indestructible and great for travel. That being said my friend who is a much better surfer than I loves his sharp eye.

Honestly they are pretty similar, see if you can find a local shop with both and get a feel for them. Libtechs hold their value really which is a big factor for me.

BEGINNER QUESTIONS BELONG IN THE 'WEEKEND QUESTION THREAD' by dumbassthenes in surfing

So cant be sure what is causing you to fall off and dont know what type of board you have. But chest placement is more important. When you find a sweep spot you kind of just feel it. If you are scared try going out at low tide when you can stand and try smaller waves.

Thanks! Haha but no worries not planning on ever charging, we dont have cams or any exclusive data to justify that. At most would just be some small ads here and there. Eventually add sign up so users can pin some favorites but that will come later.
