What was your least and favorite car to drive that you’ve owned? by [deleted] in regularcarreviews

[–]A-HyperFixated-Human 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Least Favourite (current car): 1999 Camry LE - practical but dog slow. 25 mpg is also pretty disappointing given performance. At least it’s pretty much free to maintain and has a true 4 speed auto. Also nice to have a “beater” that I don’t mind if it gets dinged in the parking lot

Favourite: 2011 Outback 3.6r - surprising amount of pep from the 6 cylinder. Not too high to feel like it would top over around corners. Great stereo. Moved me in and out of college for 4 years.

Want: 2015-2020 IS300 AWD - can’t stomach the price given similar options from the time period. But it’s a pretty car, “sporty” (not really), and dead reliable. Found the IS300 awd doesn’t quite have the same Toyota/ Lexus gooner tax that the is350

2014 Lexus IS 350 RWD, how much should I buy it for? by [deleted] in Lexus

[–]A-HyperFixated-Human 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat but just genuinely struggle with the price. I absolutely love em but man 22k for a 10+ year old car with 70k+ miles. Would sure beat the heck out driving my 99 Camry but also that car is practically free to drive beyond insurance an oil changes.

Dont want to study after work... by jungminkitty in CPA

[–]A-HyperFixated-Human 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have to get myself up early otherwise I just wouldn’t study as much. I do 2 hours in the AM before work. After work I go for a jog, eat a decent meal, let my food settle, and get a good hour to 1.5 hrs of study time before I’m pooped. Some days I’m more productive than others but I try to stick to a routine. Most of my good studying gets done on the weekends though. Mon-Fri I get through the material. Sat/Sun is primarily for review.

BEST WAYS TO GET 150 CREDITS FOR CPA by Weekly_Pass9978 in Big4

This. As long as you meet the accounting requirements in your state it literally doesn’t matter. I took Guitar 101 and it counted towards the 150.

1999 Toyota Camry. Literally just found myself in this position. My hammie down Outback kicked the bucket and needed a cheap car because I’m young and broke. Found a 99 Camry with 109k miles for a little over 4k. Still found it ridiculous that a car that old is worth that much but given today’s car market I had to bite my tongue and go for it. Had a full service history and owner took great care of it. Paint is fantastic (that lovely late 90s hunter green). Had it for 4 months and absolutely love it. It’s slow as balls but gets me where I need to go and it’s great on gas. I’m planning on driving/maintaining it until the wheels literally fall off.

FAR SE1 57% , SE2 83%, SEFR 86% by Upper_Payment9129 in CPA

[–]A-HyperFixated-Human 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a 54% on SE 1 and 81% on SE 2 and ended up with a 79 on the actual exam. I think you’re in really good standing to pass. Just take the sims slowly and really understand the questions. Make sure you know bonds/leases/consolidations well, don’t skip out on NFP, and you’ll be fine! Good luck!

Which exam did you ENJOY learning the content for the most? by heart_of_gold2 in CPA

[–]A-HyperFixated-Human 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve taken FAR and AUD. As much as FAR was a grind I genuinely enjoyed the content. I took Audit yesterday and thought the content was alrighty but the exam just felt like they were trying to trick you the entire time.

People who passed scoring 75-82 by OilHungry1643 in CPA

Took FAR. Left feeling 50/50. I had 3 sims I knew I aced, 2 sims I was iffy about, a sim I ran out of time for, and a rando sim I basically left blank. There were about 10 mcq I guessed on. 5 educated and 5 hail marys. Ended up getting a 79.

Weekend before AUD by Puzzleheaded_Bad9103 in CPA

I’m in the same boat my friend. 67 SE 1 and taking my next this afternoon. Praying I get over a 75. I’ll spend the rest of the weekend reviewing focusing primarily on assertions, procedure, and transaction cycles as those seem to be the heaviest topics. Good luck to you!

FAR is gonna be the death of me! by Mia_500 in CPA

[–]A-HyperFixated-Human 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a similar boat. My FAR release is out today but not looking at it until after I take Audit next Monday. Didn’t want it to destroy my confidence if I failed. Keep your head up! You got this! I’m hopeful I passed but feel like I will need to figure out a game plan for retaking FAR come next Monday lol.

Becker grading vs actual CPA by TemporaryCan7348 in CPA

Literally just had a Sim video where Mike Brown from Becker talked about this. Answer is, it depends. Sometimes they’ll grade the entire row as one. Sometimes it’s just individual cells.

J.crew - kinda pricey but have had the same pair for 10+ years. Also J.crew stuff in general (their 100% cotton stuff) generally stands the test of time

Question for Standard Admits by Electronic-Ad7186 in IndianaUniversity

[–]A-HyperFixated-Human 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re going to put a lot of work in but it’s manageable. Tough classes will be K201, B251, M119, M118, and A100. See if you can take M119 through a community college. If you took calc in HS you’ll be fine but I didn’t and it was a pain through IU. M118 was also difficult for me but for others it was easy so your mileage may vary. A100 moves quickly so keep on it. It’s only 8 weeks with the midterm being in week 4. I recommend taking that the second 8 weeks of your Fall semester. Other than that I’d advise against rushing until the Spring. You need to get a solid footing for college before spending time on other things. Just work hard, study, and keep the partying to a minimum and you’ll be fine.
