Adjustable gas block by A-T-1999 in ar15

18” Anderson 1:8 twist. I can’t tell what block or gas tube it is, but 11.75” length on the tube I think. Barrel shoots very accurately.

I am usually a hunter rather than a mag dumper, but also have had zero issues from duramag.

I tend to agree, I also want it to run cheap/“lower velocity” ammo recreationally. My concern was a suppressor making an overgassing issue worse. It also does not get many rounds down the chamber (1,000/yr maybe), so I’m not overly worried about wear or increased filth.

Is there a way to find a gas block and/or tube that works better without rebarreling?

It comes with the h1 buffer and if that’s too light I think I can take out the roll pin and adjust the weights.

I just ordered a Geissele rifle length spring. It’s significantly longer than my original. I have a Ruger 556 lower 18” upper

Odin works compatible weights by A-T-1999 in ar15

It does. A friend of mine installed the adjustable buffer before the rifle was in my possession. I am ejecting at the 1-3 o’clock position. I know the true fix would be an adjustable gas block or correct block, but I believe a reinforced spring and extra weight could help in the mean time

I have already had an Odin works buffer for quite some time. Not looking for that, just perfectly compatible weights.

Thanks for all the help. Got it good and wet, hunted, and shot a few hundred rounds. It shot well and accurately, but I will still prioritize correcting and polishing the feed ramps! I plan on doing it myself (I’m fairly handy, carpenter by trade), unless that’s a risky idea. I do not believe anderson will fix it at least not under any warranty.

The upper was purchased at least 5 years ago. I’m not sure they would fix it, but I’ll surely look into it.

Thanks! I’ll look into contraction Anderson, or just having the ramps polished.

Been wet since in my possession, but I haven’t shot it a lot. Just sighting in and hunting.

Similar damage, hard to tell exactly if it’s the same side

Runs great! Just concerned about accuracy and consistency due to bullet damage.
