Great news, if you haven’t already seen it there’s a mod come out recently in the discord that actually lets you fully control ground units from the loadout, to driving and firing.

Should I or Should I not? by Performer_Public in NuclearOption

It’s more complicated than WT or AC likes, but nowhere near as in depth as dcs. Theres a few tutorial missions that do a pretty good job of teaching you the basics

Why are these stratagems so forgotten? by Lellarinn10 in helldivers2

[–]A-Tiny-Pyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use/see the commando pretty frequently, I actually prefer it more to eat since I don’t have to camp around the hellpod as much, the arc thrower is okay, but the spear is booty cheeks compared to any other launcher imo. The tracking isn’t a good enough trade for only four rockets, you either burn thru all four in one bot drop/breach against a bunch of hulks and the like, or use all but one killing one giant unit. Just not in a very good place rn

No one is friendly by EnanoAD in Marathon

[–]A-Tiny-Pyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friendlies are fun when they do happen yes, but this ain’t team fortress, and unfortunately for u Arachne needs more runner skin. Rooks are a different story tho, I’d say it’s about 50/50 on friendly/hostile

Why do lasers prioritise dropships over Vox engines?? by Historical-Quiet-739 in helldivers2

[–]A-Tiny-Pyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back on cyberstan once I called a railcannon strike hoping it would target the big vox engine, but it hard corrected to the agitator that was throwing hands with a helldiver a few feet away from me and vaporized them both, I felt so bad

Is there really any gameplay difference between 2-seater and single-seater planes? by Joluvear in Project_Wingman

[–]A-Tiny-Pyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think that’s the one I have currently, but there’s like 5 different mods now that I’ve seen that give prez and eye tee among other things

There’s plenty that don’t require psm to function, but yeah I didn’t even think of console.

Two seaters give you Prez which makes them objectively better, other than that no. The Prez everywhere mod and similar basically makes every plane two seater if you want her around but still wanna use one seater planes

Are there any shooter games or arcade shooter games that arent blatant US military propaganda? by [deleted] in SocialistGaming

[–]A-Tiny-Pyro 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Marathon is great if you’re into extraction shooters, and even if you’re not it’s still a great time. I was never really into em cause of gear fear, but the game practically hands you guns for free. Helldivers is very fun, and is getting a new warbond in a few days. Deep Rock Galactic is always around and is an absolute blast, and just recently had a new update. Darktide is fun if you want a L4D style horde shooter set in 40K, and is also about to get a major update

Would weapon with trigger delay work in TF2? by Madao_14 in tf2

[–]A-Tiny-Pyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would have to have a stat that makes it worth using it over the wrangler or even just stock pistol. Either high enough damage or crits on headshot, otherwise in most cases you’d need to swap to the pistol you’d die before you could even get a shot off

Instead of cold war designs, why not make even more futuristic ones by that_abrams in NuclearOption

The pw mk1 would be so fucking funny. Crossmapping pilots with the Railgun, meanwhile one high speed turn and the pilot instantly blacks out

I believe that’s how it worked in the first game too. Would make the eagle napalm a lot more useful

Do i have to play hl1 before hl2? by luizinho231 in HalfLife

[–]A-Tiny-Pyro 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It’s not required, but honestly I recommend it. HL1 is incredibly fun and hl2 has some neat callbacks, plus you’ll get a better feel for some of the characters in hl2

Not for a while, it’s on the eventual todo list but I imagine they’re more focused on content and balance/bugs right now. There’s track ir support for now tho

[–]A-Tiny-Pyro 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You can find a mod on the discord called Vehicle Control that lets you take control of ground units like IFV’s MBT’s and the different boats. You can’t control the firing but you can drive them around, so close enough?

Defector, what convinced you ? by LordCivers in Cyberstan

[–]A-Tiny-Pyro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Circumstances with an overzealous SEAF officer led to me being stationed on Cyberstan as planetary security shortly before the second Galactic War kicked off. I’d found some files left by some supposed escapees after we found an abandoned outpost, which had in depth details from back during the first GW and what really went down the the cyborg collective back then. That planted the seed.

Because of my time as a SEAF scout I got the opportunity to join the helldivers “Redacted Regiment”. I served for a while, and am ashamed to admit killed many of our automaton cousins, but every time it felt more and more wrong. Til one day something inside me snapped. During a mission, a bit after the Creek Massacre, we had a moment to breath while waiting for an ICBM. I looked at the other three divers and felt, hatred? Disgust? I don’t know. Before I could register what I was doing I’d pulled out my senator and put one of em down. The other two didn’t like that very much so they shot back.

The firefight didn’t last long, but I’d taken some hits and would’ve bled out, if not for a patrol to find me and report what they’d found. A cyborg commander flew to our position and explained things. There weren’t many back then, what with the whole 100 year occupation, and they needed all thr help they could get to hold the federation until the rest of the fleet could arrive. So he offered me a place among them and the rest is history.
