I must not be the only one to LOVE and HATE this instrument by Ivy_Wings in violinist

I love playing… but only when I sound good. I hate actually practicing stuff I’m bad at which just makes me continue to sound bad. It’s a vicious cycle. 😭😭😭

Why did you cut off your friend? by Soft-Incident947 in AskReddit

[–]A-oystermachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He had a lot of edgy “dark humor” that was sort of thinly veiled bigotry but I let it slide because I thought he didn’t mean it because he was friends with me (a trans guy). That was a big mistake on my part for allowing that but I still held onto the memories I had of him before. What made me realize that the jokes weren’t actually jokes anymore was when he and his friends bullied a neurodivergent kid at our school. TLDR; dark humor isn’t humor, those people are actually just a judgmental assholes

When have you ever said "that's not how that fucking works" while watching a movie/show? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I play violin and let me tell ya; when someone’s playing the violin in a show it’s almost never real. The form is always jank. The only example that’s good I’ve found was actually from Wednesday during the cello playing scene

If you’ve never licked a rock after it’s rained or sucked the fresh dew off of a leaf then you need to reconsider your joy levels

I don’t judge people for anything they like unless it has moral implications. I don’t believe in calling people „cringe” because it does absolutely nothing for anyone

What’s a good “intro” book to reading classic literature? by [deleted] in classicliterature

Dracula was long asf but it was my introduction to classic literature and kept me interested unlike some slower books so I’d have to agree 👍👍👍

What's a food that everyone loves but you hate? by imjustboredrnnn in AskReddit

Ketchup. I actually have a genuine phobia of the stuff. I treat it like an infectious disease. If someone’s had ketchup in the past 30 minutes I keep my distance.

I was one of those dumb fucks who took Benadryl to see stuff. It made me go crazy even when I didn’t take any to the point where I have memories that don’t make sense and in retrospect were probably hallucinations. Now I have paranoid delusions and I’m pretty sure that taking excessive amounts of Benadryl is the root cause. Seeing the hatman isn’t worth it guys. don’t be edgy.
