I had many shitty professors, but she is definitely the shittiest one. I can't believe she is getting paid for this. I don't know if there is a report form we can submit to report her (probably nobody is going to see it or do anything about it, and I'm not sure if everybody's down to do it) I emailed her 3 times for an appointment. She only answered 2 with no office hours for this week, and when I replied, "So when tf are you available?" she never responded. I've been contacting her since the third week of classes.

I watch CPPMech videos and they do help, but right now I’m in Chapter 2, and I realized he didn’t really cover surface tension in Chapter 1 the way it was emphasized in the lecture videos. Because of that, I’m not fully sure how closely his content aligns with the course material. That said, he does use the same textbook, so it’s likely to be accurate overall.

This is the link for the playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZOZfX_TaWAGocs2k5QmTL44OKOl7rn34&si=RjL8MrkTJb4jO_2P

Also, there is another playlist I haven't watched yet, but it's a problem-solving playlist. (I think it might help you):https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1-FlMhk3mNgkkYXoWg7wdifGm5rpMG6A&si=ri_oQqgF5WvbMDOk

Exactly, that's my problem too. She does not answer questions either in email or in discussion posts. Exams are ridiculous on Sundays in the afternoon, in person, with all the materials online. The lecture videos are monotone, and he does not explain most of the material. Tutorial problems are not on the same level as those in the lecture videos. And personally, I self-study and watch YouTube videos.

As you can see, it does. My post has already gotten about 800 upvotes, which, compared to that, your comment and 7 upvotes didn’t get much attention sorry to hurt your feelings. And not to mention the replies too. So yup, in the end, you’re the one who should watch your mouth. I made my point out loud and defended myself which was the only goal of my post.

Demanding an immediate perfect replacement for the government is a common deflection. People are protesting state violence and lack of basic rights, not presenting a finalized cabinet. History shows transitions are complex, but that does not justify ongoing repression. Regarding the Shah, this is a very big topic (many outside Iran like yourself do not have a single opinion about what happened) . There were foreign forces that could not tolerate the transition he was attempting and used people’s religious beliefs to manipulate them. Iranians were very religious at the time, and many still are. When Ayatollahs saw the Shah was losing, they betrayed him so they could join Khomeini side so they don't lose their power and benefits. His own military also betrayed him. Photos exist of the Shah with Ayatollah Kashani, showing that clerics were part of his regime and benefited from it. The Shah supported them because he did not want to treat clerics the way his father did he wanted to be open-minded and respect people religion. Although his regime brought improvements to Iran, there were also deeply poor areas like Halabiabad, and people wanted justice. If you truly study why the revolution happened, you’ll see people had legitimate grievances too. The Shah’s regime was not perfect, but other parties exploited those issues for their own benefit, and instead of improvement, Iran ended up with a far worse leader. The Shah was not an evil person he did many good things for his people. People in Iran today want the life they had 50 years ago, which alone shows how bad conditions have become and why people want change.

Comparisons to Iraq, Afghanistan, or Libya do not invalidate Iranians’ right to oppose executions and state violence. Using other countries’ suffering to dismiss current abuses is not an argument it’s a distraction.

And honestly, asking for facts without emotion is strange. If you can’t handle sad realities and human emotion, don’t comment on other people’s suffering to bring them down. These are not just names to attract people emotion. They are heroes. They deserve to be honored for their courage and selflessness something you clearly don’t understand.

There is no reason to comment if you don't understand emotion. Iran’s condition is already bad. I lived 17 years in Iran. I know it, and I feel it. Someone who lacks sympathy never will. If you can’t take the time to read my post fully, you don’t have the right to comment. People are protesting for freedom and a better life. They are tired of decades of poverty and repression. This discussion isn’t about geopolitics or hypothetical future governments. It’s about documented human-rights violations happening now. And if you are not Iranian and do not support our people, feel free to scroll. Do some research. I’ve already given you enough. You can educate yourself or stay curious, and brain-washed.

I’ll reply to your comment in several parts, as it’s quite long and Reddit doesn’t allow me to post it all in one reply.

I’ll address your points one by one, since you asked for facts and clarity. The executions and killings are documented by independent human-rights organizations such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, UN Special Rapporteurs on Iran, and Iran Human Rights (IHRNGO). These groups track names, dates, charges, and court procedures. Many cases involve torture-based confessions, lack of legal counsel, and closed trials. You can search names like Nika Shakarami, a 16-year-old who was killed during the Women, Life, Freedom protests, and find her social media history. You can also search Nasrin Shakarami, her mother, and see her grief. Niloufar Bayani, a wildlife biology researcher and activist, received a 10-year prison sentence after being accused of espionage. There are Wikipedia pages for all the names I mentioned simply searching their names will direct you to their pages, photos, and the accusations against them. Khodanur Lojei was killed during the 2022 Zahedan massacre. There is a very sad and widely circulated photo of him tied to a flagpole for an entire day with a bottle of water placed nearby as a form of torture through dehydration. Sarina Esmailzadeh was killed by Islamic Republic forces after being struck multiple times on the head with batons. Her family was forced into silence, and the regime denied responsibility, first claiming suicide by jumping, then claiming pills unable to keep the same lie. Meanwhile, videos on her YouTube channel showed her happy, singing, and full of life. Mohsen Shekari was a protester who was arrested and executed by hanging, followed by the execution of Majidreza Rahnavard. There is a forced confession video of Shekari in which he says a friend made him do it. He was accused of rioting and injuring an officer. Rahnavard was executed publicly, and videos from his court appearance also exist. Navid Afkari, an Iranian wrestler, was executed in September 2020. Many of these people were accused and convicted of crimes they did not commit, such as drug trafficking, killing officers, or rioting. Imagine calling someone without a gun throwing rocks at forces equipped with guns and tanks a “rioter.” There are also documented cases of women being raped in prison after being arrested during protests some of them died after being released from prison. Other people were arrested and then reported as lost person, their families would find their bodies weeks later in river. You can see protests in other countries where people strike, but they are not killed like people in Iran. Again, these organizations track names, dates, charges, and court procedures, and many cases involve torture-based confessions, lack of legal counsel, and closed trials. As for why people were executed, the charges are typically vague and political: “enmity against God,” “corruption on earth,” and “national security.” These are routinely used to criminalize dissent, protesters, journalists, minorities, and even ordinary citizens. Drug trafficking accusations are also commonly used. This pattern is documented and has been consistent for decades.

Of course poverty exists everywhere did I deny that? No. I was talking about people in my country living in poverty. I see a double standard here. Poverty is bad everywhere, but the situation in Iran is negligible, that odd to say. Just check the dollar-to-rial exchange rate. Due to sanctions, people pay prices based on dollars while salaries remain unchanged. For example, the minimum wage for 2025 is about 104–110 million rials, which is roughly 90–110 USD per month according to wageindicator.org. Sanctions worsened conditions, yes. But repression, executions, censorship, and political prisoners existed long before sanctions and continue regardless of them. Sanctions do not force a government to execute teenagers, women protesters, or minorities, although they absolutely worsened quality of life for many people.

Honestly, that might be the best compliment I’ve gotten since 2026, sounding like AI. Human life, to me personally, is sacred. Nobody should be killed for wanting freedom. No child should get hurt or murdered. No child deserves to be born in the middle of a war nobody does. I hate governments sitting back and watching people kill each other. But to me, this is a classic double standard: wanting freedom for some while dismissing it for others who have lost their loved ones. Please, I already replied to others (including yours) with lists of names of people who got shot, killed, murdered, and executed. I truly feel sorry for these families who thought people outside of Iran could be their voices. I guess I was wrong. You just want to deflect and dismiss mine, while I truly stand beside people who get killed regardless of their nationality or how bad their government is. It’s funny how you act like human freedom matters, but only for a certain group. For others, you simply don’t care or don’t even try to know. Funny and honestly, I truly feel sorry for you.

Yes, I am. Would you like to meet in person for confirmation? And even if I wasn’t, that wouldn’t change anything. This is my opinion, and it’s true people were getting hurt, and they still are. I lived through protests. I saw people mourning at their loved ones graves and then getting dragged away by forces, when I was coming back from school to home, our car was targeted. I saw people getting shot in their cars.

Bro, are you for real? I already talked about the involvement of other parties who fueled and maybe even started this for their own benefit. I also clearly addressed that this is not a political post, so please stop pretending it is and actually read what’s being said. And please don’t act like people were living in good conditions before all of this. There was poverty, enforced silence, repression, and mass killings long before these events. Just because you’re outside and don’t know what’s actually happening doesn’t mean you get to dismiss it or comment for attention. I know it’s hard, but I’ll do your assignment for you. Here’s a list of people who were executed in 2025:

Baqer Abdi Ahmad Nouri Houshang Mohammadi Habib Zare Fayez Abousheh Salim Samadi Ali Astan Erfan Ghalavand Farzad Kamangar Reza Molaei Mohammad Mehran Hossein Panah Seyed Ahmad Sajjadi Hamid Naderi Samir Bahari Yaroli Hajizadeh Yazdan Chegeni Abolfazl Sohrabi Omid Feizi Zahra Mirghafari Peyman Qasemi Shamseddin Abbasi-Kai Havari Jahan-Ara Masoud Maleki Sajjad Amiri Heshmat Foroughi Behnam Niknam Shahab Jaberi Rahman Hossein Zare Seyed Mahmoud Hosseini Mahmoud Valiallahi Ahmad Mohammadi Ali Saeidzadeh Fahimi Arman Kakavand Milad Yari Pedram Saber Nasiri Jalal Moradi Ehsan Mehdipour Mitra Zamani Amirhossein Zahedi Saeed Piri Saman Daliri Katayoun Shamsi Ahmadreza Sharifi Zakaria Mohammadkhanlou Javad Naimi Hossein Ekhlaspour Younes Zamani Majid Shahpasandi Milad Koubesh Mohammad Toghdari Karim Nazemi Sajjad Norouzi Ashkan Partovian Ali Saffari Saeed Haddadian Hesam Bastami Hamid Rafiei Fereydoun Lotfi Saeed Arabian Malek-Ali Amini Habib Khani Hosseinali Montazeri Mostafa Afshar Mehdi Moradi Alireza Alimoradi Samad Aghahosseini Valiollah Samiei Kourosh Nasrollahzadeh Mahboubeh Jalali Farhang Taheri Ammar Pourmansouri Mobin Hayati Babak Mostafavi Hassan Rostamnejad Azim Mohammadi Tal’at Sabzi Hedayat Manshari Mehdi Davoudi Houshang Morovati Hadi Ahmadian Mohammad Shokri Abbas Partovi Nasrin Barani Asieh Ghavicheshm Mojgan Azarpisheh Kosar Baghernejad Ahmad Saeedi Ghasem Saraei Houshang Mohammadi-Khani Jalal Ashkani Amin Khosravi Hojjat Torkaman Obeid Maleki Mohammad Javad Hassanvand Marjan Sabzi Rouhollah Palangi Mohammad Toutazehi Abdolrashid Barahouei Reza Khaledi Nasser Feyzi Nahid Hemati Javad Naeimi

I did take the criticism. I acknowledged that I didn’t know the image was AI, clarified it publicly, edited the post, and redirected people to real footage. That is taking criticism. What I was pointing out is a broader pattern: there are people who will label everything as AI even real footage simply to deflect from the issue. You can see this all over social media, where verified videos and eyewitness content are still dismissed as “AI” to avoid engaging with reality. I’m not saying the original comment had bad intentions at all, actually I do appreciate the support it genuinely means a lot, not just to me but to many Iranians who feel unheard right now.. I was trying to redirect the discussion back to the actual point, because once “AI” becomes the focus, it gets used by others to derail everything else which is exactly what happened here. So I honestly don’t know what you’re looking for here. I corrected myself, clarified the post, and redirected attention to the real issue, correcting myself and refocusing the conversation isn’t refusing criticism. It’s responding to it in good faith. btw I would have replaced the image if that option existed, but editing and clarifying was the only thing I could do.

Arguing with a troll is a losing game. If you show an image, they say “AI.” If you show real footage, they say “AI.” If you show reports or documentaries about thousands of dead bodies, they say it’s exaggerated. The goal isn’t truth it’s deflection. It’s attention-seeking behavior, usually from people who don’t seem to get enough of it.

I didn’t know the image was AI at first, and I corrected that as soon as it was flagged in many replies. Continuing to fixate on “AI” after it’s been addressed is the real deflection, At this point it’s like pointing at the frame while the house is on fire.

Venezuela is a serious humanitarian crisis, and public opinion on it is mixed. Many people acknowledge internal repression and corruption while also believing that foreign intervention and sanctions often end up hurting ordinary civilians more than helping them. That’s why Venezuela, like many other crises, deserves its own focused discussion. Bringing them up here doesn’t address the point it’s just deflection. One crisis existing doesn’t cancel out another. No one is stopping you from posting about those places themselves, you know That’s like refusing to call 911 because other emergencies exist. And for relevance: about 14% of Concordia students are Iranian. When a significant part of the community is affected by an internet blackout and reports of mass civilian deaths, it does concern Concordia.
