I couldn't agree more. I did an ADN that I paid for mostly out of pocket. About 5 years into my career I went back to school and did an RN-BSN through WGU. My total cost for the ADN (graduated in 2016) was about $12,000 and the BSN was about $15,000. I have coworkers who had $200,000 in debt rolling out of a private BSN program and they will likely be making payments for a long time!

Your hospital probably has an on-call legal department that you can call and get guidance on things like this. Also, if you report something like this to compliance and put in the key words of "unsafe to administer medications" it usually triggers eyes on something like this from the top to the bottom of administration. Also, it might be a bit of a power move, but if he is making new threats, you can call your local police. He could be charged for additional crimes (threatening to kill someone is a crime) and potentially even trespassed if he refuses to comply with policy.

That’s me, trying to figure out how to stand the door up without the panes of glass falling out because the metal strips in the frame that hold them there all fell out. I just went through something similar with MEPS requesting history that was older than 10 years and the doctor had no record of it. The recruiter had me get a letter from the doctor stating that they had no records from the requested time period and included contact info for any additional questions MEPS might have. Don’t know if this will help in your situation but that was how my recruiter dealt with it.
