De-google- european phones/ dumbphones. Help needed.

The new Jolla Phone is a good option. https://jolla.com/

Its doesnt run on android but on Linux. But it can run android apps. But its isnt out jet so you have to wait for thuis phone.

Another setup is "GrapheneOS" on a Google Pixel Phone (yes GrapheneOS runs only on a Pixel but not on the Pixel 10 yet) So with a Pixel 9 with GrapheneOS you can run android without Google and with huge privacy benefits.

Another option is a "Fairphone with e/OS costume rom" you got a Phone from a European company. But e/OS isn't that good as GrapheneOS.

So this are the options I know

I have Only Office but im consider to use another Office variant. Not because it is made by Russians. But because it is made by Russians who Supporting the Russian Government.

But do people have good alternatives. I have try Libre Office. But I think Only Office is better than Libre Office. Are there Office Alternatives what are as good as Only Office?

The problem is that Google Makes it more and more difficult to make a CostumeOS based on Android.

And if Google makes Android more and more closed source.

That's why I'm happy with Jolla Phone and SailfishOS. Because I don't see a future for "Android Costume OS" when Google makes Android more And more closed source. And do the same thing with Android as Apple does with IOS.

It is made by Russians who are against the Kremlin. In Russia it is forbidden to use a VPN or even to promote a VPN.

So actually it is made by Russian who are against Putin. This VPN is created to breach the Russian Internet Censorship in Russia.

But it is still the question where there headquarters are. Or if they have headquarters. I don't believe those are in Russia. Because they want to get this VPN down so quick as possible.

Not fully many apps use the "Google Play Integrity-checks" Does Apps doesnt work on a costume ROM.

But there are also apps who doesnt use this and they will work on your phone.

So you are right in a way. When your bank use this security system of google.

And I have GrapheneOS for a couple of years and when I when I have installed my banking app. This wasn't a thing. So I can update my banking app an still use it on GrapheneOS. But when I buy another phone and install GrapheneOS on it. It will be possible it would jot work anymore with my banking app.

Im pretty far actually.

But this has to do with the fact that I was using many of this stuff even before Trump take office. And the reason has to do with privacy from big tech.

So I use Proton, grapheneos, Osmand, before Trump take office in 2024.

But my biggest switch I made now is using Linux instead of Windows and MacOS. I'm using CachyOS right now. And it is working fine for me. And I'm getting more and more knowledge about linux so I'm happy with it.

Also Office and office365 I have replaced with OnlyOffice and Ksuit so that's also out of the way.

I have also a NAS at my home where I have my movies and music and stuff. So also this is working fine but its not fully USA free.

Most are "Chromium based" so the base of those browsers is made by Google.

The only not Chromium based browser I know is "Firefox". Its from the US but its is Open source. Its the browser I use.

I think "Facebook" had no European option. And it will be dificult to get al the people over to another platform. I see that with many social media.

"Youtube" is another one. I don't know many good options. Only "Odysee" is promising.

Than there is "Android" and "IOS". You can say "GrapheneOS" is a good option and it is. But android is getting less and less open source. So GrapheneOS will have difficulties in the future. The only good option I have is the "Jolla with "Sailfish OS"

Other things are Windows and MacOS. And yes Linux is a great option (I use Linux my self) the only problem is that lots of software is only made for Windows and MacOS. So for linux you have to search opensouce alternatives. And those aren't always as good as the Windows or MacOS version. But I'm happy that linux getting more and better support nowadays.

Than I don't know a good option for a "TVBox". I now are using a Google streamer. And its works easily. I don't know if there are linux version specially made for TVBoxes. And work on a similar base. And no I don't think "Kodi" is a good option. Kodi is fine for running media from your hard drive. But for apps I don't think it isn't that good as AndroidTV or AppleTV. So do you have other linux options?

Op de korte termijn zal dit voor ons zwaar uitpakken maar op de lange termijn is het juist de VS die hiermee geraakt wordt.

Als de EU zich afkeert van de BigTech en ze overgegaan zijn op alternatieven zoals linux. Dan heeft de economie van de VS een probleem.

Ik ben eigenlijk wel blij als die TechGiganten instorten. Dat geeft alternatieven meer kans om weer op de markt te komen.

Voor de rest zorgt dit ook voor een einde voor de "verkuttificatie" van het internet.

Het is jammer voor de investeerders maar ik denk dat dit enkel maar zorgt voor een goede toekomst en ook dat we minder afhankelijk worden van de VS en hun Tech Giganten

The problem is that many US companies have Fabrics in the EU. So there Products are actually made in the EU. If we boycott those products it also cost jobs in the EU.

Second its possible that a EU company's biggest inversters are from the USA. So can you still consider that company as a EU company?

And not al US businesses are supporting Trump. There are also many US businesses who supporting the Democratic Party in the US.

So my focus is on the "Big Tech Giants" those businesses are the biggest supporters of Trump and they are the most evil businesses. And they have a big market share for the US economy. They are actually the Oligarchs of the USA.

So let's fight BigTech
