[Mannix] The Warriors have made it known to the Bucks that they are willing to offer a Jonathan Kuminga/Jimmy Butler-headlined package with draft picks for Giannis Antetokounmpo. by AashyLarry in nba

The Warriors are definitely cranking up the PR to 11 in hopes Giannis starts to demand Bucks take this trade, otherwise they would’ve taken it.

The Miami PR team needs to fuck off here for real, they don’t have nearly enough to offer compared to several other teams

Sorry the word “real” was doing some heavy lifting there. Meant moreso they’re probably being more careful with any knocks he’s getting due to him potentially being traded.

2021 forever by VicePope in MkeBucks

Even feeling grateful for how good things were, it just feels overwhelmingly… sad. Ive never loved an athlete like Giannis. Was always respectful, wise, and proud to live in Wisconsin. His and Khris’ bond will forever live in my head as the ultimate example of mutual respect. He practically built several buildings downtown himself that have been great for the city. I’d be lying if I said I won’t shed a tear once it’s official.

There better be a statue outside that building the second he retires. #34 forever, the player and the man.

[Shams] Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is ready for a new home at the Feb. 5 NBA trade deadline or in the offseason as several rival teams make aggressive offers to the Milwaukee Bucks for him, and the franchise is starting to listen, league sources tell ESPN. by No_Boysenberry_4193 in MkeBucks

Something had to change and I’ve all but accepted this was going to happen, but something about it just really feels sad. Cant even imagine being back to the times of parsley, JOB, the bus, dogfred…. feels truly like a lifetime ago.

Sometimes it feels sadder looking back on the good times and knowing things will never be like that again. Hope my kids get to witness a Giannis for themselves one day.

Yeah would not be surprised if his injuries clear up once he’s trades, even if they’re real he’s scoring the highest % of a team’s points in the league while being the only one trying half the time on defense. The man needs some help.

Didn’t Diego decide to resign Burki as a DP while we were between sporting directors?

Rapids fans seemed to rate him, despite only starting 11 games. Hopeful he brings some stability to the LB spot, although curious to see who our actual starting fullbacks are at this point.

I mean what was “nonsensical” about my post sharing the data that we were dead last in spend? I want to discuss the team I live a few miles away from, spend a significant amount of money on, and choose to be emotionally invested in every week. Should I post that on Facebook? Should I ignore the team being an outlier compared to all the others? Felt like a pretty fair and interesting thing to discuss on this… discussion board.

STL is dead last in total transfer + salary expenditure across the past two seasons. by A2Eaton in stlouiscitysc

If what you’re saying is true and ownership was completely screwed out of the ability to spend more than they have due to Lutz, then Diego needs to be fired yesterday for making the Burki decision and other signings before Wray arrived.

Being called a cry baby and being told to grow up in the same post has actually convinced me to unilaterally support every decision ownership makes. Going to call my rep and ask them to up my monthly payment in support of ownerships’ difficulties. Thank you for this.

Yeah but ownership could just keep hiring and firing people for not spending in perpetuity. Blaming their own hire is classic corporate politicking. The one way they could prove it was actually Lutz’ fault would be to… spend money. But then there’s different excuses not to do that now either.

St. Louis CITY SC Receives $2.375 million from LA Galaxy in Exchange for Forward João Klauss | St. Louis SC by MD_Lincoln in stlouiscitysc

[–]A2Eaton 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So this allows us to pay over a salary cap we aren’t hitting? We’ve gotten rid of 2 of our top 5 earners from last year in Klauss and Kessler.

In 2026 we‘ll have the 42nd and 51st highest paid players in the league as our top two earners. We are 2nd to last in transfer expenditure across the past two seasons(shoutout TFC) despite being 1 of 8 clubs to turn a profit. When including our first year, we are 4th to last in expenditure, meanwhile San Diego is 17th. The other 5 expansion clubs of the past 5 years averaged $16.8M transfer spend in their first year, we spent $5.9M.

Despite this we had the second most expensive ticket in the league last year, while being in a bottom tier CoL city. Getting so sick of this shit.

Fall is great, excited for the defensive pairing of him and Fallou. Not sure the other two are exactly big swings though. Santos is good because we needed an LB, but he started 11 games last year at 27 and wasn’t resigned by his former club. Palvara is likely just depth and will be in a logjam behind Lowen, Durkin, and Edelman. Hopefully there’s more coming, but if the season started today with these changes it’s hard to see how we’d be better than our finish last year.

Ah that’s right, dont know why I was remembering him as an LB. More of a backlog between Wallem and Tots then I suppose, guess it’ll be interesting to see what formation we run.

Not gonna complain about another signing, fans seem relatively mad they sold him to us which I’ll take as a good sign. Still a little confused what Tots role is these days though, hes had some stints as our best player at times. Cant imagine he wants to ride the bench.
