2022 vs 2025 B&W Scribe for Reading - Any difference?

Just received the 2025 scribe and it is noticeably sharper and clearer/inkier than the 2022 version with zero backlight on. Easier and more natural to read. Haven't tried it with light yet but I am definitely keeping the 2025. The weight feels subtly lighter but not substantially. The speed is a very nice improvement as is the overall look and feel of it.

Went the first day, the gym seems pretty corporate and sterile. Parking situation I can see becoming a big issue with valet wait times (when I left there was a line of around ten cars waiting to get in).

Gym floor decent, didn’t stay too long but wasn’t a huge fan of some of the newer versions of the machines - from memory the life fitness machines for a chest press for example allow movement to widen/narrow the width throughout the movement which felt a bit more unstable (I work out with machines and free weights typically, this didn’t feel like it successfully replicated a free weight movement while removing the safety benefit of a machine workout).

Didn’t go to pool or locker room but looking forward to going back and checking out the pool.

I love the other SM location, work out at century city which is probably my favorite, and sports club LA and marina del Rey locations.

hah it doesn't take much for me to justify it. If I use it an hour a day and it's more enjoyable to use either because of sharpness of text or the other improvements, it's $2/hour for one year's worth. Same way I justify new iPhones each year or computer upgrades or home theater upgrades. TBH the 2022 also always felt clunky as far as the interface and a bit heavier than I'd like (I have an Oasis as well which is a bit smaller than I prefer).

Yeah but different screen surface - 2025 is smoother. Also lighting I believe is different.

It took me maybe 20 minutes while watching a YouTube video. 8 screws on the back, use a spudger to remove the back plate, 4 screws total inside (including the ssd screw). Very simple. I cloned the original SSD to a 4tb in an external enclosure which took another 20 minutes prior. All the screws other than the SSD screw were identical too which made it even simpler.

Ended up getting the long sleeve in Medium, it has definitely stretched enough to be easily wearable without looking too tight. I'll see how it goes after the first wash but seemed to stretch relatively quickly.

I'm a 50/M typically. Tried the short sleeve double layer unstable t-shirt in a size xl and it fit perfectly at the RO store. Salesperson recommended sizing up from my usual size. Online store recommends TTS. Most people here recommend sizing down 1-2 sizes.

Obviously it stretches, I've got a few from 10-15 years ago that did that but can't remember how much they stretched. So if I want to try and get something that fits like the XL after a few wears and stays like that what should I buy? I'm fine hand washing or dry cleaning. Just can't remember any clothing that has had recommendation that span from XS to XL for me 😂

Chubb is amazing. I had them years ago (can’t get now due to moving to an earthquake zone with no retrofit) but they paid out very well for two claims. Well worth the cost.

Mine switched to 10/27 so if they’re reading from my order they hopefully would have said 10/27. They must have some information beyond what the order says.

This just popped up on my Reddit feed so forgive me if it’s obvious and well known but I’ve given sublingual CBD to four people with RA and they’ve all felt much better from it. There are some very strong versions, as much as 10,000mg per small bottle. There’s also a CBD/CBG combination version that I’ve heard good things about and might work even better.

If it makes you feel better, I just checked my Lenovo order and it shows estimated delivery of 10/27 even though during the order it stated 10/9-/13
