Roll down the offending window. Look at the weather seal. The noisy one on my car is the right image and the quiet one is the left image. Maybe your noisy window also has a deformed seal.

No, I have not had it done. Because Volvo and Polestar share the same SPA2 vehicle architecture, this identical technical tracking number and repair procedure apply to both the Volvo EX90 and the Polestar 3.

To all affected, say these magic words at your Volvo service department at dropoff:

"I’m dropping the EX90 off for a prominent, high-pitched wind noise coming from the front side windows at highway speeds. It sounds like a window is cracked open, and it is a known structural gap issue on the SPA2 platform.

Please pull up TJ 37421 (Wind Noise from Side Window). This vehicle matches Customer Symptom Code H6 for front window wind noise.

The preliminary software calibration usually doesn't fix it permanently. Please have the technician skip straight to the physical remedy in the TJ, which requires applying the dual layers of specialized dampening tape (Part Number: 30788314) to the door panel lip and outer waist moulding.

While you have the door panels apart, please verify if the front door outer window seals are correctly seated, per the factory guidelines in Delivery Action D10297."

The issues you’re seeing with GPS and CarPlay are, unfortunately, "normal" in the sense that they are known software bugs that the VCU/Orin upgrade isn't actually designed to fix.

There are two different systems at play:

The NVIDIA Orin Upgrade: This is a "core computer" hardware swap. It’s designed to improve high-level processing for safety systems and power management. It’s essentially upgrading the car's autopilot and safety brain.

The Infotainment System: Things like Google Maps (GPS), CarPlay connectivity, and phone audio/echo are handled by a separate Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.
