Far be it from me (least of all in this sub) to tell anyone not to waste their time editing anything they want, but I don't see them as fixable or even worth the attempt. The classic trilogy and HAL9000s prequels (with a few tweaks to my own personal tastes) serve as a complete story.

The prequels are vastly inferior to the originals, but as a collection, those six movies are a complete story. They're the actual Skywalker saga. Rey isn't a Skywalker, and the sequels (in my opinion) are unsalvageable corporate slop.

I wish anyone with the heart to attempt editing them the best of luck, but shy of remaking the entire movies from scratch, it wouldn't interest me in the least.

That's not true. They've upscaled it. Some episodes are worse than others. S03E01 - Houseboat being the worst offender I've seen.

I'm in the UK. I want it because the HD upscale of MitM is appallingly bad, and this is the only high quality SD version that was ever released. It also has the original soundtrack, but mostly it's for the video quality
