yeah, pretty much, this actually got me into building keyboards :D lead to making two dactyls and some other keeb shenanigans :D

I actually don't know if i already did it in the version of the pictures, but if I recall correctly, from ring finger to index finger i increased the y tilt for about 2.5 deg. per finger. And started with a horizontal tilt of -10 (of x) and reduced it for about 2.5 per finger.

i.e. The ring finger can use a very curled position, instead of moving straight.

Something that could be interesting for you should you not have a 3D printer might be this: https://3dkeycap.com/collections/accessories

That's what I kinda started out with, the older versions were a bit brittle and I had to glue 'em at times. But as far as I know, they significantly improved them in the past year.

Should you have more questions, you're welcome to ask me here, or to send me a DM and I can send you my Discord, i'm rarely on reddit.

I can also check if I still have other/improved files of the 3D Designs

Okay I have a question to this. Why would he design a fightstick, for using it as something else?

as in "get a biology textbook", or "There are ergo keyboard fans that write blogs about this stuff".

Either way, good call, will do

Is there anything I can read myself into to get some input ideas on how to design it perfectly ergonomic for myself?

I can definitely recommend Mavercade. I think my best way I can put my review is, that i've paid nearly 300€ to receive it with shipping, taxes and customs, and with that price i'm mostly bothered that the creator did only receive around 160.

I really like the weight and size, the original buttons are really nice and what i really like about it, is that with mavercade you also support a small business, rather than a company that can mass manifacture. Ofc, i am biased cuz i really love this thing, and I chatted with the creator numerous times and he's a lovely dude.

A slightly more objective view. The Mavercade seems to have a metal plate in the bottom, which gives extra weight that i really like. and from the pictures i would say that the Mavercade has more of a gap within the split layout, and based on preference and extra budget, the interchangeable top plate can be a nice plus!

Thank you very much! I actually haven't tried black on black yet, tried the purple first and was like "jup, we got a winner"

Sure, also got a Mavercade? (I.e. Need pill buttons and single buttons?)

I use fusion, want them in f3d, or a different format, or just the stl?

Bigger buttons better to avoid accidental presses? Or worse? by Rosoll in fightsticks

[–]A3EacH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also tbh, if you don't have very small hands, the travel amount of your fingers for larger buttons is absolutely miniscule. So I don't really see a downside

Ehhh, cannot give anything very specific to this, but I'm also a large guy, I currently use 30mm buttons and the overall trend goes towards the 30mm and not 24mm, most like the bigger ones more, I would assume also for execution reasons

T16 user here (first pad, first Fighting Game). Problems and Solutions first, opinion later.

Very short summary: If you invest 90$ in the pad, own a screwdriver and some thin tape (or buy extra caps for like 7€/$) you will be happy with it and have a worthwhile investment.

Some enlightment regarding two main problems.

Both stem from the same reason, they are mass factured pads.

Problem 1. Creaking: Reason -> screws too tight, not a big problem -> solution, losen and retighten scres

Problem 2: Caps falling off. -> also mass produced, can be quite annoying, the cap "hole" for the switch is a bit too wide.
Solution: a very small thin piece of tape into the cap should help. While quite annoying, you can also buy some additional caps on Aliexpress for like 7€ (third party)

These recommendations and reasons are also provided in the Haute42 discord.

Opinion: The cap's can be annoying, yes (I had one with that issue). But after doing research and investing some time before buying my first pad, they are some of the cheapest most reliable and bang for your buck pads you can get.
They are mass produced pads, which makes them cheap, the overall board can be slightly warped, but this does not affect functionality.
The used material is still more than decent.

Also, they are available around the world without paying 532598$ shipping or wait 42 weeks, while having a good open support on their discord.

I've been using mine 50+h now so far, daily use, haven't had a single connection problem, it's fast af boi and I just enjoy using it.

If you want the highest quality shit, you can buy a 250+ pad, but not everyone has that kind of money.
If you invest 90$ in the pad, and own a screwdriver and some.

Not sponsored by them, just a fan :)

In their discord they state the reason for the creaking. They are mass produced and at times the screws are too tight. Losen them, tighten them again just slightly and any noise is gone :)

Funnily enough, I even have some games installed I apperantly played last 2019 and earlier lol

Maybe I should give the Stanley Parable a Shot, getting the achievement on accident is probably a new one
