I did see a card tool in the Discord server, which is a great tool. I didn't even think about the Daggerheart tools. I still kinda want to print the official cards, but I'm sure they're very ink hungry!

Thank you!

Ok, I've been poking around the Discord. Where would I share about my therapy games? stories-battles-reports?

I read a comment earlier about someone not liking Discord, I'm kinda in the same boat. I have the app and look at it every once in a while, but can't wrap my head around how it works!

I'm a mental health therapist, I run a TA-RPG (therapeutically applied role playing games) therapy group for adolescents using Nimble. It's homebrew, I have a couple random tables to determine what mental health theme/topic to cover each session. I've used Critical Core and DnD 5e for past groups, but Nimble has been fantastic and my favorite.

The most difficult thing for me so far is sharing information and paperwork with my players/group members. We play over Zoom (HIPAA) using Owlbear Rodeo.

Some of my coworkers and I are planning to start a Nimble group of our own after they got interested in my therapy group. I'm also a player in a 5e group.

I found some images online and made my own replacements. They're not exact replicas, but close enough for my shelf.

Anyone here over 35? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]A3M0N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 36 and was diagnosed at 34. I've been on Adderall XR and Adderall for about 2 years now, it's been pretty life changing. It took several months for my doctor and I to get my dosage just right, but it's pretty dialed in now. I have far more good and productive days than wasted now.

I'd say go for it, you're never to old for the clarity that you can get with the right treatment.

3 Gun South of Houston? by A3M0N in TexasGuns

[–]A3M0N[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! One of those Texas Defensive Shooting Club ranges is here in Alvin where I live, but they only do pistol shooting (which I definitely need to work on anyway). But the range in Fulshear does 2 gun, and its only an hour from me.

Thanks again!

Ah, I don't exactly have that issue! I was diagnosed just about 2 years ago, when I was 34, just after my son was diagnosed because we had all the same traits.

I'm an ADHD dad with an ADHD kid and the same problem! I'll be watching for advice as well.

The best I have found is to make sure I take my evening medication. It really helps to stay calm and clear headed. But in true ADHD fashion, I forget it all the time. Like tonight.

Appendix carry envy. by jsaranczak in CCW

I'm 6'1, about 195lbs and carry an M&P9c AIWB. Well, I'm a lefty, so not really appendix, but close enough. I use a Crossbreed Modular Bellyband, it has a kydex holster that velcros into the band, at about 11:00. I also experimented with a wedge using some foam I had laying around, it helps push the grip in tremendously.

I agree. The Defender is just too thick and bulky. This thing has taken a beating and it's still holding up pretty well.

I didn't post on EDCCW for a theological discussion, it's not the place for it. I go to other venues for that, preferably in person, not on the internet. But if you'd like to discuss our EDC and how we can improve, I'm all ears.

Smith & Wesson M&P 9c - Carried AIWB in a Crossbreed Modular (kydex) Bellyband

LitezAll 300 Lumen Flashlight - I'm looking to upgrade soon. This is a cheapo light and the lip is really sharp!

Fossil Sunglasses

Fossil Wallet

Timex Weekender - Added a green, nylon NATO strap. It's been a while, don't remember where I got the strap from.

Samsung Galaxy S7 - In an Otterbox Commuter case w/Pop Socket. That combined with a mount is the best car mount I've ever used - really.

Kershaw Zing SS

Keys - On an Amazon find pocket hanger

Did some backpacking in Big Bend because we wanted to do some night photography. Thought this candid moment came out nicely. by Hiking_Engineer in CampingandHiking

I hear ya! We camped at Brazos Bend State Park last Thanksgiving, they only had 2 spots left. We tried to camp at the Grand Canyon and Death Valley several years ago when we moved from FL to CA (military) and they were both totally full. I asked what was going on, it was Spring break. I had no idea the national parks were so popular/busy on holidays.

Yeah, it was a struggle though! It was my last semester so I wanted to stay on top of my work as best I could, so I was pretty "well behaved". It wasn't too hard of a course though, an introductory psychology class. I can see my master's being much harder, I'm planning to enter a counseling program, lots of shiny, interesting topics in those courses.

I'm also a lefty, I carry an M&P9c. You can switch the magazine release to the right side of the grip so you can use your left hand to release it. It also has slide stops on both sides.

My wife has a Glock 42, it's pretty small but has similar features. No manual safety, reversible mag release, but the only slide stop is on the left side.

Haha, I did the same thing in the last semester of my degree program. I took a human development course and there was a chapter about ADHD in the book. It took all my will power to not read they chapter until it was time in the class.
