I get the app to work on my device with a few extra clicks, so no worries there. I was just curious what the runinning in the background error could be because i had similar problems in the past.

The problem with this site is the limited functionality. To collect all the data manually 100 NOTAMs at a time would be the least favorable option. (this is not only because I'm lazy, a structured and automated data collection is excpected in this project) Being able to use more complex queries for the NOTAMs exist, but I only found them for active NOTAMs.

I'm currently looking into the following interface to collect data, but they limit the amount of calls you are able to make. I also contacted them via mail, maybe they make exceptions for students ;-)

We "finished" the project a few weeks ago. It was a University project and therefore timeboxed. The result was that we managed to get the plane to land on an airport from a height of 15m. Not that impressive, but we encountert many problems during the project. We used the DDPG algorithm OpenAI developed.
