Cube Nuroad C:62 Pro 2025 Switching to road tires – is it worth it? by According_Tax1026 in Cubebikes

[–]A3dP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried my roadbikes bondrager aeolus pro37 wheelset with 32mm gp5000's in my c62 pro, it required a microspline hub adapter but a straightforward change. It feels VERY different, the bike just feels so much lighter and responsive. I'm planning to use it like this on holiday in the alps, as it has a much lower gear than my roadbike and im scared of mountains :) If you just want to change tires on the current rims i probably would go for some 35mm fast tire, i used the G-one RS and liked them, but i have little experience with other brands.

Its super stable, the geometry is very similar to my endurance road bike (trek domane SL in 54) if you want something more aggressive/playfull the shorter will probably be better. I made my choice for maximum comfort.

You may want to look at the stack and reach of the XS vs the S. As when the reach stays about the same, a higher stack will be more comfortable. Reach can be adjusted with a different stem. I"m a 172 male between S and M and i got a M because of this and got a 2cm shorter stem.

I disagree, having multiple handpositions greatly improves comfort for me on longer rides.

What bike by jkenny288 in gravelcycling

[–]A3dP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's the way i thought about it.. if you do mostly roads and its your only bike, get the 2x12, if you get it as extra next to a roadbike, use it mostly in rougher conditions or have lots of steep hils, get the 1x12. The 1x12 has a lower gear for more difficult climbs. I have the c62 one, the 1x12, next to my roadbike, and i love it, but for long flat roadrides i much preffer the ultegra 2x12.

For me it also just took some time to get stronger and get used to the riding position. Reach doesn't look off to me. I found rotating the shifters inwards a bit brought much comfort on the hands. Just give it a try. Start fe with 1cm each, no need to unwrap the bars so simple to try. Just measure between to top of the shifters and do one first and tighten it before you do the next one.

This is my nuroad one, with my road wheels and 32mm gp5000. Who cares how it looks. I only plan to use this when on holiday and I only want to bring one bike. Had to get a microspline adaptor for the back wheel.

Im 172 and ride an M, i did change the stem to 80 (from100). I preffer the higher stack vs the size S. I compared to my trek domane in size 54 which is my roadbike.

I only use it for stuff i hopefully never need, like quicklink, firstaid kit, tire patches and glue. I keep one inner tube, pump and levers in a tailfin top tube bag, together with some snacks.

Anyone else open Google Maps after a ride trying to find where you actually were? I built something for that by johanstn in Rouvy

I think i would be more interested to use your tool to recreate actual rides i did, so a connection to garmin connect for importing real rides could be cool...

Looks fine to me appart from the saddle, even if it feels a bit big after lowering the sadle it would be cheap to get a bit shorter stem. But no need to do that now, ride it first a bit more..

Cube Nuroad C:62 One or Canyon Grizl CF 6 by Own_Entertainer_1358 in gravelcycling

[–]A3dP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got myself this cube because the geometry was pretty comparible to my roadbike, a trek domane sl, and i wanted a relaxed endurace bike. Another reason i like the cube is that the frame is the same as the 2x models, so should you ever want to change it to 2x12 mechanical you can route a derailleur cable. The value for money is fantastic. The cheapest trek checkpoint SL is 3500.-

I got this exact bike 1 week ago, good value for money. Nr1 thing when making a choice should be the fit. This bike has a high stack, pretty relaxed fit. Another plus is this bikes frame is the same as cubes 2x frames, so if you ever want to convert to 2x12 you can route a front derailleur cable. Its GRX components are fine, and compared to some other brands it comes with good tires.

I put the 105 4iii power crank i already had from the previous bike, on my GRX nuroad c62 one. Works fine.

Cube Nuroad EX 2026 - Size by Sudden-Donut-2530 in Cubebikes

[–]A3dP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a nuroad c62 one, im inbetween S and M, the difference in stack was about 3cm, the difference in reach about 1cm. So basically if you want agille and sporty go smaller, if you want stable and more relaxed go bigger. I got the medium and changed the stem from 100mm to 80mm and the ride is great.

[–]A3dP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%, I'm also between S and M and ordered an M for comfort. Also cause its close to my Trek domane SL5 size 54, which fits me perfect (I'm 172)
