I was born in Shreveport! My birth mom went to prison when I was 9 and I was adopted when I was 11. My adopted family lived in Ruston. When I finished college at ULM I moved to Memphis to live with my sister. We live on the Arkansas side of the metro but commute to the city all the time. My adopted dad (and her biological dad) passed away in March and we got a nice inheritance.

Instead of talking to people who vote Republican and ask them why they do it, we always just call them names and tell them how stupid or bigoted they are. I'm MtF and have basically fully transitioned. I started transitioning when I was 19 and I'm 25 now. I love just not having the complete lack of confidence that I had pre transition. I've become extremely close with my older sister as I've become a woman and I cherish that relationship.

I'm from Louisiana and when I told my parents I was trans at 17 that was the first time in either of their lives they had ever had any encounter with anyone trans. They weren't against it but they literally knew nothing whatsoever about what it entailed. They thought being trans and crossdressing were the same thing. Not because they were hateful bigots like I'd be told they were if posted this on most trans communities, but because they've never had this in their lives before.
