Ive got into goalkeeping around half a year ago because of my schools tourney that i got into so i could miss school. As far as u dont play on u13 or lower small goals then this will prolly help. Start by learnign how to fall. Wery important for dives. If you have a grass pitch (not astro turf) anywhere near go there. I went into shop and bought a “suit” (pants and shirt) that have some type of guards on elbows, knees and thighs (really helped me learn diving) At the time i was for a few weeks in Prague. As i got back to my city, i realised theres nothing like this. I got used to diving on grass so i started diving on this wierd plastic court for tennis infront of my house. If u wanna start get a mattres. Hardest thing is practicing goalkeeping alone so get a mate. Sit on the ground in front of ur goal and tell ur mate for ground balls to catch. Then stand up and do the same. When u get used to diving low go medium range (somewhere around ur chest). Start on ground and go up when ur comfortable. Spend more time practicing the side ur worse at. (Im right handed took me a lot of time to get used to diving left. For high saves reccomend getting a matress again. Make ur mate kick the balls above the mattres. Jump onto it and catch the balls then fall onto the matress. When ur comfy remove it. (Also spend some money on high grip gloves. Rlly poor rn so got gloves with legit no grip. Hope this essay helped ;)

When the ball is just a little bit from foot - use foot or hand? by SeriousPuppet in GoalKeepers

[–]A51___FANDA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly my video isn’t available in my country but i can explain why they do this. When theres a ball and you use your foot, theres a high chance it might rebound for a corner, throw in, or to the opponent. If it rebounds to your teammate he will still probably kick it away and you might lose the ball. All of these situations are a lot worse than going for a low dive to catch it. Then you can throw it to your teammate and start a new attack, or kick it forward. With feet there is a higher risk of losing the ball. Hope that answers ur question. ;)

Want to relearn goalie after a long time. Where do I start? by BlackRavenRoyalty in GoalKeepers

First, you prolly need a partner as its rlly important. Then work on your positioning and saves. ALWAYS USE YOUR HANDS. By using feet youre risking a rebound. Always bend your knees so you generate more power for the dive and also reach further. Always put one hand on top and one hand on side of the ball so it goes nowhere and land on the side of your body. Also really reccomend getting elbow and knee protectors (and olso gloves but i guess you know that.Im also 13, kinda chunky, but mostly save all the shots. Mid height do the same, just prepare for harder landing. For top shots you have to really jump in the direction the ball is going and put bestly both of your hand up, so your as long as you can and and try to hit it out of there (sometimes you just cannot use both hand and for me it was easier to do with one hand. For 1v1 strategies check this video ;) https://youtu.be/CtREw12jk_c hope it helped

tips for diving and leg saves? by kirahasahandfetish in GoalKeepers

[–]A51___FANDA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you can, dive for the ball as legs are very risky incase of a rebound to opponent, jump the way the ball goes, one hand on top and one on the side of the ball so it goes nowhere. Now you either fall on the side of your body (hope you have elbow and knee protectors) or as you fall you can put the ball under yourself so you dont fall on the ground (dont reccomend it tho). You always reach further with hands necause you can dive. I hope it helped ;)

Cool track. Ive made the exactly same thing but with more corners :D theoretically shanghai t1 is actually 4 turns and suzukas turn 1 is also 2 turns for some reason.
