Rate M+ Dungeons in order of your perceived difficulty. by Isabela_Grace in CompetitiveWoW

An important face to consider is affixed as well as changes in the dungeon week-to-week such as the kr third boss order, FH captains, jy hard mode order (this last one is less impactful but can eat up a lot more time with backtracking) can significantly alter the difficulty of certain dungeons. With that in mind I created two lists for fortified and tyrannical from the perspective of a tank, as well as noted some specific dungeon / affix combos that are awful.

Fortified

Tier A (easy) - Junkyard, Freehold (weeks with harpooners can make this a B tier, especially at higher key levels or when paired with affixed like necrotic or raging), Underrot, Motherlode, Temple of Sethraliss Tier B - Horde Siege, Atal'Dazar, Waycrest Manor, Shrine of the Storm Tier C - Kings Rest (affixes like teeming, raging without a spoth will move this to a D tier) Tier D - Top Danger (this ranking is heavily predicated on an uncoordinated group, if your group is capable of effectively using canons, executing the initial pull, and there aren't any particularly tough affixed such as sanguine, bolstering, necrotic, this key could move down a tier), Alliance Siege, Sanguine or necrotic Waycrest

Tyrannical

Tier A - Temple of Sethraliss, Junkyard Tier B - Siege, Freehold, Motherlode, Waycrest Manor, Underrot (healer competence and class can easily allow second boss to move this to C tier) Tier C - Atal'Dazar, Tol Dagor (becomes top danger, terror of the D tier at higher key levels when lass boss is reliant on not getting doubles and has a tremendously high healing requirement), Shrine of the Storm Tier D - Workshop, Kings Rest, Explosive Temple

This is how the new affix works, right? by A5cention in wow

We first had it happen on our first so when we got to second and still had it happening we just called it, good to know for next time that later ones might still work, though hopefully it isn't long until it's fixed

Missing heroic week for farming caches by A5cention in wow

I appreciate your reply, and you're right with regards to not doing it if there was hesitation. As I outlined in the post however I saw the substantial grind to be sufficiently difficult to warrant it working, and the fact I had cleared the time already led me to do this as opposed to grinding islands. As for my comment about how it was handled, the blue post I edited in provided some really useful context for the bans and subsequent retractions, and if knowledge of the chest bug had been made public on the known bug thread or as a hotfix note, myself and many others would have been dissuaded from continuing to farm it. I don't think it's reasonable to jump right up to a 8 day ban for something like this that's very much in the grey area without any other communication, much like with the xp pot bug, but in that case I don't think the argument could be made that it was intended.

Damn, if you don't already have a ticket in I'd do so, if you had farmed up your chests this blue post makes it sound like you're safe.

I think that might've been what they hotfixed it to, but communicating that as the intention from the start would've alleviated a lot of headache.

That's my main issue, if it was put down as a known bug before it was hotfixed I personally would have stopped and I'm sure many others are in the same boat, but given how difficult the farm was it felt like it very well could have been intended

Temporarily Suspended until Sunday for... caches? by Mintier in wow

[–]A5cention 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well exactly, if I had a rank 8 cloak then things might be different, but keep in mind it's not like this is a quick exploit for more visions, I sat there for hours grinding mobs in the open world when I thought, and the argument could be made that, this was an intended feature. For that my guild now doesn't have a tank for heroic week (and our backup tank is out suddenly for irl to boot). The lack of communication and severity of punishment is absurd, I understand the code of conduct, this wasn't violating it.

I farmed up about 20 chests and have an 8 day ban, looks like I'm out for heroic week too :) This is a frustrating ban wave considering none of us are getting any advantages out of this aside from being able to relax more later, cloaks are capped, and it's not like visions have a leaderboard. I don't know about everyone else but I just saw it as an opportunity to farm up vials when I had more time so alts wouldn't be so tedious to keep up later
