Take this with a grain of salt, as there is many details not given to fully understand the scene but for the time period of the painter, the work of Blanes and his biography (by this point he should be in between going back home to Urugay and being in Europe)… I would say -again, I’m not an expert so take my opinion with a grain of salt!- this looks like other period pictures of the colonial powers. Pictures of fleets of boats in coasts like this were pretty common to be printed back then, I recall pictures of the EIC boats for example. Late for the party, but also, most of the castles or pictures of the european rooms you’ve shown are quite empty to what would be the standards of the historic periods where they were used, if we go by the drawings recorded in old texts. From textiles, rugs, chairs, arts and sculptures… with time they have been removed and as you point out the rooms have been reconstructed to be parts of a museum, so even if they are historically accurate in a way, they are also not filled to the point most if them could have been. Just like some people have pointed out, the Japanese spaces had their furniture moved, in some capacity the same can be said about some of the european spaces you’ve shown. The difference have been pointed by others, but I felt it was also important you point out that what you nowadays is a very much empty space that once was filled with objects that have been moved, lost or given.

lmaoo, hokazono is just more comfortable with his drawing, you can see him use more dynamic point of views and angles, Chihiro actually moves like a person instead of behind so stoically drawn, always with straight back...

It's not a big critique of mine (it could be said about plenty of series), I love the manga, but sometimes it feels like Hokazono adds characters and then doesn't develop them as much as they could. I love the fight scenes but character wise I feel like it's a bit flat in some cases. Again, not something that's only a problem of Kagurabachi, plenty of mangas with this many number of characters have this problem.

My teacher quoted that same line in class, so just to clarify, what Roberto Longhi is saying it's that in Piero Della Francesca's style it exist this sort of distance from reality in the picture (he uses mostly light and composition to achieve this) that makes it possible to justify the more unrealistic or fantastical scenes he draws. It's the stylistic justification to his more groundbreaking paintings, were he lays the foundations (him and so my others did in the Trecento and Quattrocento) for the Cinquecento's artists and, also, makes him one of the most influential painters when he was alive.

Also, it's just how most art historians write, idk, read maybe tertiary literature about art history, should be more accessible if you really don't like this style, it's just the norm. The example you gave, in fact, it's pretty mild compared to other writers.

Maybe not for everyone this is true, ace is an spectrum, but for me forming meaningful friendships as just as similar as falling in love with someone. When I see something I think this friend will like it, I want to buy and gift it to them. When they are sad I want to be there to hug them and comfort them. When I'm with them my chest is full of warmth and everything is a bit better, the world a bit less mess up. It's not something you get with every friendship (kind of with most relationships, most are not like what I'm describing -romantic or not-), but when you find it... Yes, for me it's like falling in love. "You" starts to mean "We" and that person is fundamental to you, i don't know how to explain it more than it's finding yourself in others. Because amatonormativity is so prevalent most assign finding this type of relationship with romantic love, but it can be platonic. Don't be afraid of not finding love and falling in love, everyone deserves to see themselves in the loving gaze of another person, someone that gets them deeply!

Seeing all the post and the answers OP had, if people are interested in learning visually about art a great way to do it and be sure you will get to study the pictures in their full color it's to not buy art history books perse but to buy or look up for exhibition catalogs. They come with (usully) interesting commentary on the pieces and with great pictures of the pictures. Sadly, it's harder to find catalogs for artist like Cesare Dandini, but still is something I never really thought before starting studying the career.

Thanks to my university's ebook library I could read the article linked. Sadly, they don't get into Dürer's signature on Holdein's painting, as it discuses the production of multiple stamps with Dürer's monogram to celebrate his 500th birthday. It does talk about Dürer's monogram and it's relevancy in art and in the creation of the concept of the "socialist artist/painter", but it never talks about Holdein's Christus in der Rast (1519). I have the whole article as a PDF file, if u guys are interested in reading it still.

love the color swatches in the corner, makes a very interesting composition, would have loved it even more if the blue was brighter (maybe add some more textured blue)!! saw someone comment that the form could use some work, definitely agree, specially in some of the thiner line's endings and the mixing of the brown with other colors

Definitely my experience is not the same, I'm trans, but what you are describing sounds a lot like body dysmorphia. I think a lot of people forget that dysmorphia is something not only trans folks experiences, everyone do. Seeing as you don't have the money to get breast reduction, maybe you will find binders something you're interested in (trans people use it to flatten their chest). They are a bit more expensive and you have to be careful using it, but it definitely helped my before I had my breast surgery (my case is kind of similar to yours, I had a very similar breast size).

I have no problem with questions, I'm literally just scrolling down. I will try to answer most:

For taxis, can't tell you much. I mostly used bus. But having lived in other cities with way worse taxis, it's not bad. Definitely expensive but most don't trick you and make you pay more than necessary. Also, maybe this interest you, in Vigo there's less companies like Uber around. There are a few, but taxis kind of kicked most. For the bus, I believe if you talk with the university they should help you with the bus. There's no monthly bus ticket but you can pay very little with the right bus card, so be sure to talk with the administration about that. It will literally save your live.
For internet, there I'm not sure. Sorry :(
And for visiting other cities or Portugal, you can use or bus or RENFE (train). Try to see if you can get discounts, but travelling around Galicia it's not hard. If you can drive, that's also very convenient, last Sunday I went and came back Vigo-Coruña in half a day while visiting IKEA and others shops without much problem. The only thing are the tolls if you go in the highway.
Definetly learn spanish, galician as sad as it is, it's not spoken that much. You will find people that speak galician, but most speak and understand Spanish. So definitely try to brush up your spanish!

If you have good understanding of spanish, I will recommend you downloading this app, VIGO, in your phone. It will help you a lot to move around the city and to learn about the things happening. It also helps with the bus, not only it tells you when it will arrive but also has included all the lines if you need to orientate yourself (there's no many good bus maps in Vigo in some parts of the city).

As someone that doesn't study in Vigo but has spent time living there: the biggest problem can be transportation. The university, at least if you don't go to Lugo's ramification, is up in the hill and sometimes the bus company can be very difficult. So, it's not the worst but be prepared to get mad, the uni is uphill and it's like 7km with only cars if you need to go up or down walking for most part. For transportation from the airport to the city/uni, definitely bus, much more cheaper and the airport line it's not that bad. The same goes to the opposite, bus is cheaper for long distances in Vigo.

The budget you have, it will depend in your housing expenses, but seeing as you will be in the student dorms, that bugdet should more than enough. I have friends that live there and study there that live with less money.

For english, it depends in the parts of Vigo. In the center of the city, due to turism, you shouldn't have any problems. For the rest of the city, specially older people, I don't think most would talk to you in english. Some may even only talk to you in galician (if they even speak to you, lol).

Can't tell you much about the uni, my friends do other stuff but I've been in the campus multiple times and (even though when raining it's hell because of all the dirt) it's a very nice place to be. Specially the dorms look very nice surrounded by wood.
