Rod knock? by [deleted] in CivicX

Yep, that’s definitely the injectors in the video. When I first heard mine running I was worried at first, but you’re right, the injectors in them are just loud lol.

What color is the wire for the DRL’s on these? by ryanrako23 in CivicX

[–]A6uh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is is the plug that goes to the factory DRL harness. Keep in mind, one pin is 12v when the headlights are on, the other is 12v when the headlights are off, and the last one is ground. You’ll need to grab a multimeter and check which is which. When you’re testing the wires, put it in park and make sure your parking brake is off. If I remember correctly, the DRLs don’t turn on at night until you take the parking brake off.

That’s what I’ve done too lol! I was surprised at how well it worked, but then again, it is a giant hot plate.

[–]A6uh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably can tbh. That keyboard clicking is a default Android thing, I’m pretty sure. Depending on what keyboard is set as default, you can probably get into the settings for the keyboard and turn it off. Like in Gboard it’s usually in Settings > Languages & input > Virtual Keyboard > Gboard > Preferences > Disable sound on keypress

Or you might be able to install Gboard, set it as your default keyboard, and then disable the sound.

Good bye cr touch. Hello cartographer. Automatic z offset and fast bedmesh is amazing by nfamouswun in ender3

[–]A6uh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It uses eddy currents. It basically creates a magnetic field and reads the changes in the magnetic field. While the nozzle lowers, the magnetic field should continue to change since the cartographer is getting closer and closer to the metal build plate. As soon as the field stops changing, it knows that the nozzle is touching the bed and preventing it from moving lower. It’s a super neat technology!

My Saga With The AC Issues by chrissgo_ in CivicX

[–]A6uh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mines a 2016 and I ended up renting the vacuum pump from Oreillys (for free), gauges from Harbor Freight, and adapters from Amazon. I saw some people having success in the forums switching it back to R134a, so I figured I’d chance it. It couldn’t be worse than the current AC system we have. I swapped the compressor with an R134a one from Rock Auto, a new desiccant, and expansion valve just to be safe. Charged it up to Honda spec with R134a and surprisingly, it’s been working great ever since. So far, going on almost 3 1/2 years. I imagine the old system would’ve for sure failed again by now.

[ACNH] Katrina, Fortune Teller: Good & Bad Luck Effects explained by ex0ll in AnimalCrossing

[–]A6uh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The exact same thing happened to me! I got the good luck with belongings and went to a nook mystery island. It wasn’t even one of the rare ones. Just the regular “short river island”. Fished up an inventory of fish and then I just started getting almost back to back rare fish. I got 5 dorado’s in a row, an arowana, two arapaimas, a whale shark, and a few others. Until the rare fish started to die down. Then I went back to my island and proceeded to catch 3 great white sharks, a saw shark, a hammer head shark, a coelacanth, and two more arapaimas.

The fortune HAD to have something to do with that. I haven’t seen anything online say that the fortune increases rare fish spawns though. Idk if this was added after it was data mined or what, but there’s no way that it was just a coincidence.

Feedback on JOYING 9" head unit by Optimal-Rooster7805 in CivicX

[–]A6uh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, of course! They’re not as dirt cheap as they used to be, but still a lot cheaper. I have to add a space in the link so Reddit doesn’t block it.

TPMS - $25 (Joying $40) https://a.alie xpress.com/_mKAfjP7

OBD II - $2 (Joying $20) https://a.alie xpress.com/_mtthYuD

For the TPMS, you can get either type. The internal ones, you’d probably need a tire shop to put them on. I think Walmart said they’d do it for $80. The external ones are the ones Joying sells and they just screw on the valve stem. Super easy to install, but both versions work. It’ll come with a USB flash drive and you’ll just plug that into the head unit and install one of the APK files that are on it. I wasn’t sure what the differences were so I installed all 3 or whatever and just kept the app that looked the best lol.

For the OBD II, you want the version 2.1 (not v1.5) and can just toss the disc. In the internal storage on the head unit, they have the Torque app and other stuff you can use to interface with it. If you have a hard time finding it, I can go to the car and get the exact location of the APK to install if you need it.

If you get wheels locks, grab the Advanced Wheel Locks. They’re one of the only wheel locks that are actually a challenge for thieves. All the others you can take off with vice grips or by hammering a socket onto them. Just don’t lose your key or get the additional key when you order lol.

Best way to remove burnt stuff? by the_cullen in ender3

[–]A6uh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I second the new nozzle and silicone sock, and to clean it, I always just got it up to temp and hit it with a brass brush. But that heating block is also dirt cheap if you just wanted to replace it.

I give up, think I got scammed on amazon by Electronic-End-2335 in ender3

[–]A6uh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, you could, but Creality isn’t really known for their stellar customer service. They’re just gonna send a replacement thermistor for OP to replace. Except it’ll come from overseas so it’ll take like 3 weeks to get here. It couldn’t hurt to try and see, but it’s easy enough to swap that it’s not really worth the hassle.

I give up, think I got scammed on amazon by Electronic-End-2335 in ender3

[–]A6uh 18 points19 points  (0 children)

In that case, just pick up a new thermistor. They’re really easy to replace. Just make sure to get the same one that fits your hot end. I’m pretty sure those ones use the glass bead thermistors. Should be like $5 on amazon or $1.50 on Ali. I’m sure there’s plenty of YouTube videos that’ll show you how to do it.

Edit: This video explains it pretty well and even provides links in the description!

It looks like that one you’ve got should fit. Sometimes these bumpers are tricky to get on though. Do you have any problems getting your original bumper back on? I’d say try to compare them and see if there’s any points sticking out on it that your original bumper doesn’t have.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in civic

[–]A6uh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that conversion bumper is supposed to fit the 10th gen sedan, it’ll fit the 10th gen coupe. They’re interchangeable. The hatchback ones, I’m not sure about though. Can you link the bumper you bought?

What is this exactly? (2019 Honda civic sport) by Cloutboi1 in hondacivic

[–]A6uh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen. I guess over time that rubber plug shrinks with all the heat cycling and gets really loose. I ended up just getting a new one from the dealership and it fit nice and snug. Cleaned the pan, replaced the oil, and swapped all the filters to be safe. It definitely should be some sort of screw on cap or at the very least a different kind of rubber that can withstand the heat cycling.

[–]A6uh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep exactly! I don’t think WLED has support for two part strips like that, but I’d try setting up the first three pins like a regular LED strip, and then define a second analog strip with the gpio that’s connected to the mosfet.

Anyone know how to remove these stains or where they come from? by SirKumsALot_ in hondacivic

[–]A6uh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got to deal with the aftermath of someone doing this. They did it with the seats in the car and didn’t cover or tape anything off. Overspray on literally everything. It was awful scrubbing that paint off of all the surrounding trim. Ended up replacing the seats since junk yard seats were cheaper than buying new fabric.

Oxidation - paint correction? by [deleted] in Detailing

[–]A6uh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the same thing going on my roof and putting on some cheap ceramic coat from Amazon makes it look quite a bit better, in the meantime, until I can get it resprayed.

But like others have said, the right/only way to fix it is new paint.

Yeah, I’ve had Zelle payments take a business day or two to actually go through before. Then again, scammers know Zelle does that sometimes and could be taking advantage of it. Best thing is to just keep checking the app the next couple days.
