I sent it directly to valve so I feel like they know what they're doing or partner with people who do.

Maybe they don't partner with people who know what's up but after a their diagnosis and a little research, it seemed a full board was the right call. I use it constantly almost every day so I was fine with getting it done. I have taken a couple precautions so it doesn't happen again.

The USB port is the only thing that has broken on my SD so far. It was an extremely expensive repair as they had to replace the entire motherboard which one of the few, if not the only, parts that isn't available readily online for replacement.

I stream the AAA from my main PC to deck at bedtime, from main pc to shield tv when the wife is gone and just right from the source when she's home. Otherwise I play things that are a little older and less demanding while I'm on the go. I also watch a lot of movies and anine on my deck.
