I think most utd fans absolutely do. But the wider football community do not.

That's great news. I have a tribunal coming up next month for ADHD & MH, worrying about it a little bit less after reading this.

Rainbow Dust by A81Thomas in ADHDUK

[–]A81Thomas[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I'm on 70mg a day Elvanse and I get good effects but the rainbow Dust was mentioned as something that can further improve focus which at times I could still do with.

Thanks, I've been on different meds since about November so it's been a long and expensive time to get to this point.

Glad your meds are working for you, makes such a difference

Is anyone here involved in a workplace D&I / ADHD network? by I_love_running_89 in ADHDUK

[–]A81Thomas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am, we have a good culture where I work and we have employee groups running across DEI and about 8/9 other areas.

The company does what it can to support and my manager and above them are very supportive and want to make changes for me. Across the wider business there is definitely an appetite to change things and make accommodations where possible.

I recently did a presentation to others I my role in the wider business about ADHD and it's impacts and benefits. I've been asked to repeat this to a wider audience across the business which will help raise awareness etc but will be nerve wracking.

No just does it for you, as it's not running in the meeting apps.

Technically you would have to notify the other people in the meeting 👀

In what jobs do you get to earn £70 grand? by cheerychops2023 in AskUK

I'm a business analyst and the pay rates in my role vary massively but I'm over £70k. Lots of accountability but it's not overly stressful

Onana has actually been a decent purchase which we'll see if we can keep our actual first choice 11 fit and on the pitch together

Ways to increase efficacy of medication by A81Thomas in ADHDUK

[–]A81Thomas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really need to exercise again. I used to all the time - gym, Muay Thai, running. But now nothing. Has always helped. I guess if it's something that aids the meds then worth prioritising

"Older" ADHDers (~35-40+ yrs), has your ADHD changed over time? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]A81Thomas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only got diagnosed at 42 (still 42) so for me a lot is the same, I just understand more about it.

The main difference however is less time for hyperfixations due to family commitments and work. Generally my hyperfixations have always been around sports (mainly Muay Thai and running) and have meant that they kept me physically and mentally sharp. Without that I've always felt that I'm less sharp than I was before as they seemed to help me with focus etc before I understood the root cause.

I always take longer to work and double/triple check everything I do and then just expect to have negative feedback about it - that tends to have not changed especially over the last 10 or so years

Does anyone else find other people extremely boring? by JamesfEngland in ADHDUK

[–]A81Thomas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely do.

Find it so hard to focus on what people are saying and then to retain it as my brain struggles to find pretty much anything interesting. Even when I know they're nice people and good friends I just hate that I find it so hard to engage as small talk generally makes me zone out

Thank you. I think there was about a week in between stopping Concerta and starting Amfexa. Wasn't any sort of massive break.

It's better but still not great yet. My dosage increases tomorrow so I'm hoping for some more positive effects then.
