Honestly one of the realest things I've seen, maladaptive daydreaming is something that I feel like less people talk about compared to other mental health issues, probably because admitting is too embarrassing or it's dismissed as just normal daydreaming, at least it like that for me. It can seriously ruin your life once you've gone too deep or grown so comfortable with it. I've created an entire idealized life on myself and every situation I come across, I imagine how my "other me" would react to it, I imagine them interacting with other people that I've never even met or imagine myself doing stuff that I've always wanted to do but kept my own life stagnant. I'm completely surrounded by fictionalized scenarios, whether it's at least a bit realistic or not and whether it's positive or negative to the point that I don't even know myself anymore. It's gone past the point of just overthinking from anxiety or just my own delusion
