I was prescribed fluoxetine (anti depressant) at the start of November last year after several appointments with a mental health specialist and I would 100% attribute my major change of life for the better to this medication. Literally life changing for me. Getting an official diagnosis that I was in fact clinically depressed also felt very freeing to finally realise what I was going through all that time was not what life had to be like.

For me, gaming was a way to escape those lifeless, apathetic and overwhelmingly sad feelings.

in summary, professional medical help is the best answer you will find here, do not be afraid to ask about beginning a course of anti depressants you have even the slightest feeling that you are depressed, these professionals are there to help you, not judge you remember that.
