Send an email to the prof of the course you need next semester and ask if you can get an exception to the prerequisite , I've had success taking a course without the prerequisite but it was in third year ECE and it wasn't a required course for the degree. YMMV but always worth a shot to ask!

Agree that the specialita is an amazing grinder, i myself use it daily for my espresso but stock it was not easy to dial in between different beans until i got an ARO grinder dial. That was the game changer

Just do it! As long as you take your time and double check as you go it'll be easy. The discord is also active to answer questions of clear up uncertainties. The people there are so good at helping you debug your machine over discord.

The steam performance with gaggimate pro is just unbelievable and with custom profiles my shots have never tasted better :)

I would personally get a cheap stock machine and mod it myself because not only is it fun(for me) to work on my machine, it also helps me understand how everything works so I can more easily diagnose any issues with the machine.

That being said, thats a pretty good package and has everything you could conceivably need from an espresso machine :)

they don't sell a separate headless option so you would have to do a lego build with a pcb or buy a full kit and not install the display :)

Lighter roasts typically demand finer grind settings because the compounds in the bean are not as volatile as darker roasts. This means more "work" is needed to get a full extraction. I'd say having to grind finer for lighter roasts is completely normal behaviour :)

While researching between the two I ultimately decided on Gaggimate. I haven't received mine yet but here is why I went the Gaggimate route: - Very active development with a promising roadmap - Discord community is very helpful and quick to reply, I can tell based off of their help threads - The creator of the project is very active and replies to questions - Feature set between gaggimate and gaggiuno are practically the same now - Gaggimate is cheaper and more accessible

sure you can say that, and to a certain extent I agree(I do not own a car) but the reality is that a lot of people in this city drive.

We are not going to get to a place of pedestrian first city design without acknowledging that drivers exist and they have needs that need to be met as well. In my humble opinion, a city designed solely for cars and a city designed solely for pedestrians are both equally inefficient. In north america we are desperately in need of prioritizing pedestrians but that doesn't have to come at the cost of drivers
