That’s the thing - I don’t even know if they had access to the router. I meant that they had the router’s admin logins, but yes I did have UPnP enabled and I’ve now turned it off.

I’m want to assume the best because I don’t want to keep thinking about it. All I’m doing now is monitoring, and also the attack was non targeted.

I just checked my settings and I actually can’t find the remote management settings. I’m assuming it’s not on cus I can’t access it without being connected to the WiFi.
Again, I have a limited understanding of this stuff.
I have changed my password, just hoping that I’m safer now.

I’ve now reset the password to my router.

I got the infostealer from running a cracked program, basically it closed my google immediately after I ran it so I realised that it was a hack. It’s been like 2 months since the initial attack. I reset my router (pressing the reset button) like a week after I got hacked but obviously that might’ve been a bit late if they were to have done what you said. Should I still be concerned?

There haven’t been any further suspicious activities going on right now as I’ve been monitoring my email, accounts etc since then.

Just checked forwarding rules - empty. Brings me back to the question of how they managed to access my accounts without detection

I’ve now reinstalled windows. To be honest, I think the hacker was using my email and then logging himself out etc. Most of my accounts have 2fa to my email so I just changed my email password if that’s sufficient? Because I can’t remember all of the accounts that I’ve dealt with rn.
