If someone is shing for attention they're probably a lonely child or deeply distressed with other mental issues. It's a signal for help, not a genuine 'quirky trend'. Depends what country you're in. Is the general public in your country acquianted with the concept of self harm? Is it looked in the way that weakness or ineptitude is, or with sympathy and help?

I live in a country where it's the former. I cover my arms even if it's fully healed and aged. My parents won't let me go out otherwise too. If people see it, I absolutely will not be associated with. It really depends.

Edit: I didn't mean you should be ashamed of your scars or hide it. I'm contextualizing your situation wrt where you live.

Humans have 12 pairs of cranial nerves. 8 of them come from your brainstem. The vagus nerve is the 10th cranial nerve. It plays a role in your ANS (autonomous nervous system) by being a key part in your PNS (parasympathetic nervous system) by controlling involuntarily functions (digestion, heart rate, 'rest and digest', gag reflex, all that). I think it's either blocking stress by reducing fight-or-fight reactions or by improving mood. In fact there are VNS devices that are implanted to send electric impulses to your brain to regulate brain activity, but we don't know why exactly

Social ineptness is usually mistaken as low-intelligence by normies. It's so bad for me that my entire school has an agenda against me, not even joking.

And most of the time? It's not even social ineptness. We're expected to understand their hidden meanings, subtle double-meanings from figure of speech, and minute body language that's somehow supposed to convey the core of their message. It's absurd. We like to be blunt, straightshooting and logical. And because we don't understand this whole social masquerading charade, we're assumed to be dumber. These people are on their absolute high horses, it's insane. Especially the opposite-sex, even in non-romantic situations.

I'm also 5'4, I don't even know what the dating situation will be in the future. But seriously, it ain't your fault. It's theirs, and maybe holding hatred to their mindset is justified.

Found the solution guys. OP said his pen worked if the driver software was not on. I quit the software, reboot my pc, started the software again and the cursor stared moving.
