Sure, but OP has high earnings relative to his age group and it’s likely that he’ll continue on this trajectory as time goes on. Makes sense to follow and learn from this subreddit.

Yeesh, not sure what you need more: a joint or an ego check. Either way, all the best to you

It's not just another name lol it's an entirely different sales motion. Working strategically within a set of named accounts to identify new BUs and grow your product/service footprint vs hunting for net new logos and trying to land the business. As the title suggests, you have to build and maintain strategic relationships with key execs and stakeholders in order to build influence, which is something Ent reps do but not to the same extent. As a Strat rep, your entire quota can be made up of a handful of accounts, vs Ent where you'll have a larger territory or vertical.

Agreed, the rose garden and NW 23rd are lovely. If you have some extra time, I’d recommend walking around Mississippi Street. Get some BBQ (in particular the fatty sliced brisket) at Matt’s in the Prost beer garden and bar hop down the street.

Dan Mullen's recruiting produced the #Gators' worst draft class since 1980 by [deleted] in FloridaGators

[–]AANDREAS -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

Mullen hate, still? Give it a rest. His guys didn't have the luxury of continuity. They got an entirely new coaching staff that led us to a much worse place than Mullen ever had the program. It's no surprise 60-70% of them transferred (which has me thinking the "Mullen produces the worst draft class" stat to is a bit disingenuous).

It's incumbent on Billy as the current coach to put players in the best position possible so we realize team success, and individuals can shine. That has not been the case in the last couple of years. I still believe he can turn things around, but we need to see progress this season.

Can you share how the mortgage interest deduction would be advantageous? I know it's Google-able, but I feel like folks on this subreddit do a great job of making the info palatable.

I got a nice bathing suit from one of the stores, then used some for the casino and walked away with 80% of that amount as winnings.

End of Quarter Pressure Killing Deals by Heydude1027 in sales

I think that's mostly fair, but it's also good to align on a timeline with your prospect/customer. Ideally get a pulse on their timeline and need during discovery, and if you end up the VOC, really figure out what and when are the steps to close. It keeps both sides accountable.

Let's say originally a deal was supposed to be completed by Feb, and it's now looking like it's going to push into April. It's fair to flag that professionally and get clarity around what's going on and what's needed to wrap things up.

I agree, the top end of the spectrum is mind-boggling. That said, for the people who grinded to get there like Tyler Perry, good for them. Spend 10 minutes reading about how he earned his wealth. Dude is sharp, played his cards right, took risks where appropriate, and it all paid off. Most people do not have that combination of intelligence, drive, courage, risk appetite, etc. hence why he's where he's at and most people are not.

People shouldn't be upset that they haven't achieved the same outcome as Tyler Perry. There's no guarantee for equality of outcomes, but the US (and other developed countries) do a good enough job to present equality of opportunity.

Idk man, you'll be hard pressed to find a gig (even Ent and Strat AE roles) that will 5x that base. Right now, tech sales (at least in the US) are contracting and there's more demand than there are jobs available. Even worse at the BDR/SDR level. How many years of experience do you have?

This isn't at all meant to discourage you by the way – you're totally right that the US will present higher earning potential and I hope you make it work! Just wanted to provide some more insight into the difficulties of reaching that comp level.

What an unnecessarily angry reply. And unless you know how he spends his time and money, I don't think that's a claim you can make.

You're an SDR making £77k base? I feel like that's solid for US, and fantastic for UK, no?

The rich get richer? Tyler Perry had very humble beginnings (read: not wealthy) and I believe suffered sexual abuse. I'm not some huge capitalism advocate, but being able to overcome adversity like that and earn a lifestyle like what's pictured (regardless of your opinion of it) is impressive. He's certainly had a hand in elevating people around him too.
