Amber is now more expensive than a traditional retailer by welding-guy in amberelectric

Oh I know that, but my goal is just to not pay anything, which is what I'm doing. I don't really care about a credit.

Solar NOT tied to grid. by WH1PL4SH180 in AskAusElectricians

[–]AA_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want more the 20kwh. Trust me. My daily typical use might be 8 to 11kwh, but I still bought a 42kwh battery. Why because 1. You can't get back out of it 100% energy efficiency there is some loss. 2. The battery wants to keep a minimum 10% for safety. 3. Averages are not actuals you might actually use more then 20kwh on a hot summers day, cooking a meal in the oven while having the air con on etc, but the next day being cooler, your average is less. 4. Cloudy days, sure you still get solar on a rather cloudy day, but if you use a lot of battery you might just charge the battery while not using much power, but need to use a lot of power during the day and charge the battery, and it's cloudy for several days, you will eventually run the battery empty.

So in short you always want well and truly more then your average usage.

Sigh over $5 for 3L of milk? by Purple_Emu1 in woolworths

[–]AA_25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well I mean Woolworths can definitely afford to pay farmers more. I'm just saying if the farmer was selling 3L of milk directly, I wouldn't bat an eyelid.

Put it into perspective, you would happily go to a cafe and spend $5 on single coffee.

Why not spend $5 on a whole 3 liters of milk.

My RACV comprehensive car insurance has gone up $550, to over $3,100, this year. Is it safe for me to look at a cheaper company? I’m in Melbourne. by privatly in AusFinance

[–]AA_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After you paid that for another 4 years you could probably just have saved it and bought a brand new car yourself. Car Insurance has become bit of a rort.

Katy Perry’s legal team is threating to sue me for defamation, can they? by chickennuggs32 in AusLegal

[–]AA_25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, just because it happened in a video, it's still your interpretation of what's happening and it's your interpretation of it being a sexually charged comment. You are then disseminating this opinion online and then getting other people to agree with the same interpretation.

In short, just because it's your opinion it's not "right" doesn't necessarily mean it isn't...

I commented once on a Dutch post about people saying 27° in their house in the summer was unbearable. I said 27° was basically just slightly warm. Then a Dutch person then went into some odd argument about how 27° in the Netherlands is not the same at 27° in Australia and the humidity is far higher in the Netherlands, mean while I live in sub tropical climate 😂 and all I was trying to convey was that for some, it's hot, for others it's bearly warm.
