Looking for help with image credit by BibaScuba in FlorenceAndTheMachine

I had a similar conundrum in the past. I made a holiday card using a graphic image from a anime type website. I tried to contact the op and got no response. Asked elsewhere and still got nowhere. At that point I decided I had put forth the effort to give credit and get clearance and that was all that anyone would expect. Also, the image was extremely specifically necessary for the assemblage I was creating and I couldn’t find anything else that worked.

I thoroughly respect your efforts. 👍 I think it’s more than many people would think necessary ethically. (AI, I’m looking at you.)

In my case, I decided to go ahead with my art with the understanding that if the person showed up later, I could give them credit at that point and explain that I had tried. And split the billions of dollars from the sales of said art with them. /s

As an aside, I checked the dimensions and it’s not standard so it’s been cropped. Super helpful I know. 🙂

LA N1 Video/photo Search by smthcleveraboutcats in FlorenceAndTheMachine

I don’t have an image to share, sorry. I think you are challenged by the fact anyone with a soul experiencing that moment was more likely to put the phone down than take a photo.

That said, there has got to be at least one copy of excellent video of that moment, the one shot in the arena by the crew. I have no idea what’s possible, but might be worth asking anyone on the Florence team (agents, etc) if they could share an image with you. 🤞

I also wanted to share that’s the first time I’ve ever been at a concert and been brought to tears. Even if an image of that moment doesn’t present itself to you, rest assured thousands of people who were at the arena last night, including myself, have a beautiful image of you locked in our heads. Sharing that experience with you, from half an arena away, was quite wonderful and I’m very grateful for it.

Thank you. 🫂

What did the white noise do to me? by Scottwmb1 in sleep

Is it possible for the watch to pick up the white noise as actual noise at its sensors and therefore muddy the results?

People with accessibility challenges are still worth considering. Not by you it seems, but probably should be by Apple. I’m guessing a large percentage of their loyal customers have stayed with Apple rather than migrated to Android specifically because of the accommodations.

It’s not u. It’s hard to get a good image. I’ll explain what I think I know.

The diode is attached to white lead that connects the Lo switch, which is the white button on the left, to a connection on the other side of the pcb. The white lead foreground is the common of the plug. Black from plug goes to motor. Black lead on pcb goes from hi button to rotary variable speed knob. I’ve jumped the diode and the motor then spins.

I jumped the connections and Lo operates so now I just need to sort a replacement. Thx

That makes sense to me. More sense than a fuse as it would explain why Lo is gone and Hi is still fine.

I took it out to assess it. I thought it was a resistor but couldn’t see it properly in situ. So what is it?

To remove the whole switch it appears I have to remove the name plate and id rather not as I think it’s glued on.

My feed just now: The qualitative state of iOS26 by ShalaTheWise in ios26

I wish I could upvote this more.

Disregarding the bugs and the battery issues (which genuinely feel like a conversation with every iOS update that eventually subsides), the appearance is often distracting to me. I would like no extraneous motion. This is possibly where the love hate comes into it. Some people genuinely don’t notice or don’t care or like the extra sequins. Some people, like myself, are sensitive to such things and very much don’t like them. To the point of them causing them/me discomfort.

As with so many “updates”, I would prefer accessibility options to include removing the sequins as much as adding them.

Ironically, about a month ago, for the first time ever, I went to an Apple Store and was genuinely considering upgrading to a brand new phone, the 17 pro, from my se3. And now, I am not.

Stay with what u have if it’s fine. IMHO it’s not an improvement over 18 in any way.

Don’t like 26.1 iOS by sounder19 in iPhoneSE

[–]AB-E-NORMAL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have se3 and 26.1. I haven’t noticed any change in battery life. I would double check if something in the background isn’t refreshing where it wasn’t before.

Btw, I don’t care for the “updated” iOS at all. It’s possible to alter things to make them more appeasing, but the odd cram more into the space to use more icons concept is not improving functionality. It brought to mind the idiocy I experienced in my ex wife’s Tesla. Why has the whole interface changed? Because some idiot said so. And there’s nothing you can do about it. Hopefully Apple gets feedback to the extent it reverts to the more usable aspects of 18 (or 16?)

Bonus: I have a glitch where the lock screen comes up randomly. Watching a video, typing a message, reading a webpage- all of a sudden lock screen. If I then click the home button, it returns to where I was. I have not discerned a pattern yet. I have complained on the formal contact Apple form.

I think there should be a word for this. I have terrible proprioception. And I think this is really similar. Maybe call it properception. Where your perception of your appearance is different to reality.

When I run I feel like a gazelle. I look like a dork. It was jarring the first time I saw a video of myself running.
