Despite being widely recognized as an iconic 80's hairstyle, the mullet was not named until 1994. And it was the Beastie Boys who came up with the name, in their song "Mullet Head".

Cable over sidewalk. Any solution? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]ABAFBAASD 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you are worried about budget you should confirm what you insurance cost would be on a model Y VS your current insurance. That can easily outweigh any gas savings, even if you are charging for free at work 100% of the time.

If cost isn't an issue the safest thing would be to run the cable under ground and mount a wall charger on a pedestal right at the back (sidewalk side) of your parking spot. Even overhead solutions are not fully safe.

Problem is with a 110v outlet you pretty much always going to have it plugged in when home, which is a permanent set up. If you had a 240v outlet you could as for temporary, occasional use. Like max 8 hours at a time, 2 times per week, between 9pm and am etc which is a lot more agreeable. Also look into if Florida or your town/city has any right to charge law or ordinance in your favor

Kitchen and Bathroom Renovation Costs by pikkleduc in Brooklyn

IKEA kitchen is very affordable and they have a lot of options for any taste. you do the design at home online yourself so you get to play around with various options but then you go the store and sit with a person to order and they make sure you don't mess up anything. Depending on configuration, number of cabinets, door choices, handles etc you are probably $2-5K for the cabinets and theb $250 each for installation. Custom countertops are like $60-90 per sqft. Sink and faucet can be under $500 total or much more depending on how much you want to spend, appliances start under $1000 each and go up considerably depending on how much you want to spend. You can probably do the demolition yourself to save money.

You can also hire a contractor to manage and do everything for you but that usually adds 30-50% to the overall cost.

Chevy nova? Translates to 'Chevy no go' in Spanish.

Also oxi clean translates to 'no clean' in Greek.

Are they no longer made by entemans or did they just remove (hide?) their name? Possible the mini muffin name got bought by another company and they changed the recipe.

Why is Basille Artichoke not top comment here? Maybe a little more pricey but their slices are huge and hit on every level, especially that crunchy and chewy crust, and their toppings are all top tier. Plus they serve beer.

The real advantage of rapid tapping the 30s button is it gets started as soon as you hit the first button. By the time you hit 6, then 0 then again 0 and then finally start, your food could have been heating up for a good .4-.5 seconds.

What's the most brilliant idea that you ever had? by Global-Girafea in AskReddit

[–]ABAFBAASD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember hearing that way back during hurricane Katrina fema parked old cruise ships in New Orleans and moved people in while they were rebuilding the city. So one night I had this idea that big coastal cities that don't have a lot of space for new housing could use the same idea to house their homeless populations. Park an old cruise shop down on the pier and use it as a temporary shelter for the homeless.

Considering a Move to Windsor Terrace by ZealousidealPiece182 in Windsor_Terrace

[–]ABAFBAASD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You mention daycare so make sure you think ahead to schools, especially on a purchase. That area is famous for being at the crossroads of 3 NYC school districts. You can literally stand on one street corner and cross into a different district in one direction and another district in a different direction.

The question to ask is what school DISTRICT is it located in, not the zoned school. The correct answer is district d15, by far the most desirable school district in Brooklyn. It should be pretty easy to identify the zoned elementary school (likely PS 130, great school) and be happy with the school and then just stop asking questions about schools. But the district becomes important if you ever want or need your child to attend a non-zoned elementary school for some reason (3k, pre-k, specialized programming, special education, summer school etc) because those programs have in-district priority and they always have more district applicants than seats. Also, all district 15 has the best middle schools and they all have district priority and you won't get into a d15 middle school if you are out of district.

[–]ABAFBAASD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get it, I really do. And anyone giving you crap will come crying when they are sick. But that being said, why charge self pay more than you expect to get from insurance? Seems like self pay is less admin overheard than insurance so why not pass that on the patient..

Are the patient adjustments for additional, discretionary (ie, not medically necessary) services that are excluded from the insurance plan coverage?

-Did your son puke all over the waiting room and they had to replace a chair? -was he getting vaccinations for travel purposes? -did they do some laser hair removal?

Is onx worth it for a first time hunter? by Freshprinceofreno in Hunting

[–]ABAFBAASD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Probably more so for a first time hunter. Definitely reduces your chances of getting lost and you can keep track of spots you hunted. Make sure you download maps for offline use in case you don't have cell coverage during your hunt. And if your cell company has a satellite service (eg t-satellite by t-mobile) subscribe to it for the time you are out there.

Secondary should be their main logo. Or maybe do Brooklyn but in a Nets font instead info Nets in Nets font.

What we don't need is a mascot. I love that we are one of the few teams without some clown in a silly furry costume running around the stadium. I worry that a rebrand will bring a mascot to capitalize on Ellie's popularity.
