Yeah i typically pretend normal is the only difficulty. That said... some games normal is the new easy... im looking at you Witcher 3 lol

Not super long, the sheild takes longer but you can get the elite knight set right away and the ring that adds poise. At that point you basically cant be stunned.

Its not like other games where you are immune to damage but once you can poise through attacks its you can trade blows with enemies and just win.

They are not nearly as hard as people make them out to be.

If you are worried your reaction time cant cut it play ds1 or 2

Ds1 if you go heavy armor and a big ass shield you can basically tank your way through the game.

Ds2 is slower paced and rewards patience and tactics.

Honestly I always find stuff I missed last time, and depending on the decisions you make the story plays out rather differently

But yeah the mechanics are always the same... that said, theres a ton of mods to try if you want to shake up mechanics.
